See how he goes the next few weeks before I pass judgement.

Would he have even trained with them yet before playing today?

Maybe he trained with Cupido and his mates at the pub?

Whoops, not that I can say much, 2 North players out tonight for similar reason.

Whatcha talkin' bout, Willits?!
Did he really take a mark? I thought he was gifted a free...

On the subject of Choco: He was clearly observed talking to a Power listed Sturt player today after Sturt's quarter time huddle broke up and players were walking to their positions.

Last time I checked he wasn't on either the SFC or WAFC coaching staff or a club official, so WTF did he think he was doing?! I guess that means any member of the public can just go up and have a chat with any player they feel needs to be told which position to play etc etc..

Willits is no dud; he is a fine defender and will be sorely missed at Glenelg.

But he ain't a forward line player, no matter how much Chokeo squeals to the contrary.

Best of luck to him at Westies.

The $Million question is will Port Power insist on him moving to another club when West work out he is more of a defender than a forward and start playing him down back???

It is my understanding that Ryan and Mark were told Ryan is in our best 21 as a defender but not as forward.

Bottom line though he has moved on, good luck to Ryan he served us well while he was at the Bay. Hopefully he makes it, his 3rd year on an AFL list, not too many players survive their 3rd year on a list if they haven't cemented a spot by the end of it.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

add Toby Thurston...

I wonder if Chocco got it in writing that they would play him forward?

Willits, he looks like an old fashion type of defender, my view, this is a poor call by the Power and Willits will suffer from this move

I was thinking of Toby as I wrote it, He and Damon exceptions to the rule...

In Ryan favour is that he is a big bloke and big blokes take longer to develop (generally) so even if he doesn't crack it this year he may get another crack at it next year

Dunno about Thurstans, still hasn't impressed me, a premiership player who was in the right place at the right time ala Keating for the Cows.

if Willits struggles up forward for Westies, what should the Weed do, .

I would punt him to reserve grade, and let him play up forward in the 2's, Williams has declared his hand, he wants the kid to play forward, so playing down back is not an option.

Mickan played him in the forward line last week in the 2's, kicked 5 goals, but that wasnt good enough for Chocco

I wonder that too .... maybe they feel they need some back-up talls with experience given Tredrea's injury worries?
