I think Reagan and Sammy should have to front all the players on a thursday night and be forced to apologize. ;)

We wrote a letter to the PLCA expressing our concerns that someone representing the PLCA could make such a comment about any club. We were then told by PLCA our problem wasn't with the PLCA but with Waybacks, which we disagreed with, as Sammy does this segment as a neutral representative of the PLCA, NOT Waybacks. We all know that everyone has a bit of a sledge at the opposition on the field but to take it to the radio is not acceptable. It's hard enough to attract new sponsors & players without comments like that being broadcast all over the EP. We didn't suggest any action to take regarding the matter, we merely expressed our disappointment that it occured. We have since received a written apology from Sammy which we have accepted, & look forward to one during tomorrow mornings segment. After that case closed lets all move on & play the game.

So you are telling me that because of someone taking the piss on the radio you will not be able to attract sponsors or new player. Fair enough

Oh hang on you were being serious

I heard Sammy's poor excuse for saying sorry this morning, he tried to say 98% of people found it funny ( so he was he trying to justify his comments?).
The PLCA are weak bystander if they said that to your club about being a 'wayback issue'. The guy is representing the PLCA.
I think Bluey Dunne will be very unhappy also about todays comment from Sammy stating "He saw Bluey at the cricket with a box of tissues and a jar of vaseline while watching Jack Shanley"

Well done to Newman on his comments. We live in a boring drab world without people making outlandish comments. I am all for it. Its cricket anyway so who gives a rats arse.
I hope Newman does the football report also.
He is Lincoln's Kyle Sandilands

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

This is nothing.

Head down to the country cricket board on here and check out the Port Pirie Cricket Association thread.

Plenty more said there that would be harsher than whatever was said on radio

The pitch obviously held up well. 340 odd runs was a good result.
