Wouldn't be surprised if the Love boys and Ronald Rankine end up there.

Doubt it, spoke with the man last week and is very happy at Pooraka, i tried getting him to the lodge :)

Didnt squeeky Rankine used to play in the hills league...? Isn't he related to Bassani...?

Yep he did mention he used to be at Echunga, not sure about being related, wouldnt have a clue

It used to be before he put all his personal thoughts throughout it. The number of times you could "read between the lines" where he wrote derogatory comments about HFL clubs was disgraceful. I don't bother reading it anymore and I don't think we should be charged for it unless those comments are removed in the future. Bring back the "Kicking Back with Father Time" instead of the "What's Hot and What's Not" carp which is just Owen's views.

If Owen did write any derogative comments about carp then this is based on fact cause they taste like S#$t (compared to other fish anyway).

As part of the new collaborative regime, have heard that feedback will be sourced from Hills Footy clubs about what content they would like to see within the Final Siren in 2012 (cause if it contains what the customers want, then more sales and promotion for league sponsors).

Any truth that the Gums new coach has been banned from his old club Central United after he had a bar fight in the club rooms this season?

Looks like Gumeracha are resigned to the fact that they have lost ruckman Ian Bellman to Central United and have now recruited former Paralowie and Mawson Lakes Ruckman Dean Nisbet as his replacement.

Think they have also signed Clegg from Central United, who is a ruckman, but far from being of the calibre of the above two names.

Gee ruckmen must be hard to come by if Gum are spending money on a div 7 B grader in Nisbet

Thought the tin would be empty after Johnstone and Quinno put their hands in. The old faithful of Gum will be less than impressed to see a couple of quality locals leave and a couple of import duds swoop in and take their cash!

I think country sides have to have a good balance of imports and locals. It is dissapointing that some of the local lads at Gum feel that the are not appreciated. I believe that local lads are the heart and sole off every club. But in country footy u do need a handfull of recruits in this day and age to be competitive.

AKA maybe some of these recruits shouldn't take so much money so there is some left in the budget left for the locals.

Maybe a fair comment, in previous clubs i have played at there was only 1-2 local players that got paid. What ive been told there are incentives for local players at Gum. A lot of the negative talk directed to gum at the moment are coming from Kersbrook supporters. Which i hope leads to a good contest on the ground.

The Bassani reign at Echunga has had it's first casualty with their B grade coach for the past 4 years Joey Whyatt throwing in the towel
