Adelaide Footy League Talk

Postby footy_pie » Fri Mar 09, 2007 1:47 pm

Any news on how SMOSH is travelling? Will they be a force in Div 3? A player of interest might be Cakebread... played in the lower grades last season and as of yet has been unsighted... where could he be?

Had heard Cakebread works nights and can't get to trainings, which may be why he stopped playing in the A Grade. Heard the coaching staff want him to get back out and play A's but he's a uni student so the money from working would be much welcomed I think.

Walkerville were good. Picked up a couple of good talls I didn't recognise from last year, and the bulk of their A grade side were there, minus Josh Gould. Hard to gauge because I didn't know how strong the other sides were but would be looking at top 3 I would think.

not in the Amateur League, no..

Yes, Garry McIntosh was a mongrel (I tell him that all the time, and I can say that, Im a Magpies supporter!) but nowadays you will never find a more disciplined football player and he makes sure that those qualities are installed into the rest of our players, he'll drag a player for giving away a 25... but yes, mud sticks, but i can definately say that that leopard has definately changed his spots. As for SW, i'm sure they'll be fine until things dont go their way. Lets see what happens when the League stop sending officials to keep an eye on things

hey Falcon Chick here is a question for ya -

You say Gary Mcintosh has changed his ways, the way he plays his football. (attack ect)
On saturday when Athelstone played PNU & macca cleaned up Jarrod Trish in the first qtr's & he went to hospital for stitches, & you would have to say that it was one of the most unfair hits ive seen in footy.... Macca is a idiot on the footy field & hopefully someone in Div 2 gives him whats coming to him.

The umpires wont do anything cause they are as weak as piss...

& if anyone has seen jarod Trish, he isnt a small lad... Its just to bad athelstone wont get another chance to play PNU this year.

Cant comment cruzn as I didnt actually see the hit, was too busy fixing Simon Nunns broken jaw, sending Fleety off to the docs for stitches and finding a dentist for Ty Watkins who had teeth knocked out, all of which were caused by the elbows of 3 mystery Athelstone players...funny game football, isnt it...

P.S - Hope your bloke is ok, btw....

Indian, Whats going on with you & your footy. Hear rumours you are possibly going to play in the Hills again for no coin, due to the love of all the good blokes at your old club. I think this is a great idea if you are. :D :D :D :D

OK, time to start picking some winners for this weekend. Not much to base this on except for last year's standings. Games are...

02:15 PM CBCOC v Eastern Park Proposed Kellett Reserve,
02:15 PM St Peter's OC v Prince Alfred OC Proposed Caterer Oval,
02:15 PM Athelstone v Flinders Park Proposed Torrens Valley Oval, 3
02:15 PM Old Ignatians v SMOSH West Lakes Proposed Hunter Park (railways) West Tc, 39
02:15 PM Walkerville v Salisbury West Proposed Walkerville Recreation Ground, 71

My tips...
CBCOC, SPOC, Athelstone, SMOSH West Lakes, Walkerville

Anybody else game to have a go?

I'd agree with those 5 blu. And where is Kellett Reserve? Is that just the new CBC parkland ground renamed or have they moved?
