just printed off the form for the wed meeting which will have a bookie on course to service the x-mas party crowd of 200+ that are booked in.

race 1 has a place special but the rest of the meeting looks very tough. visitors from vic and tassie. should be some good racing and more importantly some decent odds available.

really got no idea about a market here, can make a case for just about every runner despite some of the poor strike rates. the 2 will be well in the market and looks like it will run a place again. The 4 is a vic visitor and from 10 starts has managed 6 placings so must be respected as a chance. most of these runners are slow out run on types. the 5,8 look like they could lead and angle park day meetings usually favour the leaders more then most. the 8 did lead 2 starts ago at gawler from this box when it got run down by the 2. If the 6 or the 8 lead there may be some intererence behind and leave one or both out in front.

the red ran ok time at strath last start. the 3 - 4 starts back LAW at gawler and with that has a big chance here. 7 - despite its poor form was sent out a 4.20 chance behind boree jim who is in the first (#2) and just on that should be respected.

had 7 races and not many from the xmas party have ventured to the bookie. TBH, the party is at one end and bookie in usual spot, shouldve put bookie closer to xmas party

the bookie stopped fielding on the wednesdays meeting as it wasnt covering expenses. Yesterdays experiement failed also due to a number of reasons.

BUt when the bookie regularly puts up markets at over 150%, the tote is a far more attractive option. the bookie needs to be more competitive v the tote to generate business.

Also add to the face the bookie was competing against two open TAB outlets at the other end gave him no chance of passers by putting on bets.
What angle park should have done was only have the TAB outlets open at the bookies end.

yes very good point groover or put the bookie in the tote counter just adjacent to the bar so that the party crew could see him when they went to the bar or to get food and could hear him.

it was an opportunity lost and i dont think it will happen again for the bookie

2 - 1 alabama siyan has had 2 starts for 2 seconds, led for a long way last week.
5 is a first starter and must be respected.
7 - could be at good odds and worth throwing in, was only 1/2 length behind the 1 last week.

4 - looks a race between the 2,8

5 - 2 is an ex NSW dog and on its form should be able to go close in this

6 - the early pace is with 1,7,8 and the winner should be in that lot.

7 - 3 this should be able to lead EASILY and should be hard to run down. the red is a good run in dog and runs consistently slow 31-00 but could be enough to be placed.

8 - 4 ran a nice race last week and will be in the finish today

9 - 1 drawn to be in the lead and looks the pick. the 4 jumped terribly last week but is worth a dabble especially if it is near the paper price
