Depressing start to the holidays
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

McGain still had overs.
If you pick him as a bowler you have to bowl him

I don't think we will see Mcgain again.

Still an allrounder that can bowl would be very handy, just incase one of your frontline bowlers gets injured.

Brendan Drew was 12th man, very handy allrounder. Should have played tonight

AS 8/155
BLIZZARD 20[13] hardly hit a ball in the middle, good strike rate for an off night
BOTHA 41 [33] sensible innings, got AS to a handy total
CROTHSWAITE 18[12] amazes me , bats like a busted fart, but is a talent
RICHARDSON 11 [5] good
ABBOTT 2/20 [4] usually gets clobbered so a good effort

This was a good total, just a matter of getting Gayle out to win
I had honestly thought[ he was LBW FOR F..K ALL early in his dig , but he then massacred AS

ST 4/156[18.3]
GAYLE 100*[54] effortless magnificent hitting, he is perhaps the best 20/20 player in the world
OTHERS 48[57] all they had to do was not lose their 9 wickets
OBRIEN 3/26[4] very good effort, is a very good 20/20 spinner

ST are in my opinion the worst side in the comp
Warner will be play REAL cricket for a while
GAYLE is a one man team, get him out and Thunder will be struggling big time

MY VOTES
3 GAYLE
2 OBRIEN
1 BOTHA

It's 10 years of Sheffield Shield crowds in one night!

Be interesting to see if they kick off pre Christmas next year though.

Agree we were a bowler short, also to bowl Borgas was a gamble that failed.

Missed the good start as well, should be able to recover better. Another 20 runs would have been part score I reckon.
