GAMBHIR 39*[42] made a brilliant start, no coincidence its a flatter deck, has a ton at his mercy by stumps
DRAVID 7* [22] can he improve on his modest returns against AU the last few series
SHEWHACK 4 [8] great to watch, cant play any other way, but he suffers from Haddinitis

TENDULKAR how we gunna get this guy out , he only gives about one chance and been getting out all series
LAXMAN must be licking his lips seeing the deck now, might even get past double figures , and if he does bewareKHOLI who knows perhaps heez worried about Jackson BIRD

The FBTs at last have a deck thats calm
Blunt the 3 quicks a while longer and as Jimmy and Stevie once sang , 'gunna have a Good Time'
A score of 375 + beckons

Agree with that one mal, can see a big one from VVS on a pitch like this.

Hasnt made a ton for 2 years, average is propped up by all the home series runs, he is no good anymore. Be suprised if he got to 50 once for the tour

Gambhir hitting runs is great for AUS, will hold his spot in the side and then fail on the bouncier WACA pitch!

India to hit 500+!

It must be a really slow flat pitch if Dravid is playing pull shots on Australian soil.

Wouldnt mind Siddle test Gambhir with some short stuff in this spell. I know the pitch is slow and low but i wouldnt mind seeing a 3-5 over spell of short stuff at him.

Wouldnt say expert but remember when ordinary spinners like Bob Holland, Border and Clarke all got bags at the SCG and it was the only place we could beat the Windies.
I think the NSWCA has made a concerted effort to alter the pitch and make it more friendly for the quicks. Reckon it started changing 2-3 years ago and have a look at the young quicks the Blues have rolled out since.
Ashwin is a handy spinner and he didnt look like getting a wicket.
Even in shield games this season spinners havnt done alot, definately not the same old SCG pitch

There goes 50% of Pattinson's match fee.

Umpire made the correct call and Pattinson looked like a goose
