strange how he can pick ONE supporter out of thousands on the KOP with all that noise. He must have been standing next to the supporter. And we all hate people being racist but the supporters standing next to this guy that racially abused the oldham player....wouldnt they have heard it too and reported it??? Why would they need to check cameras so muc??

Reckon your a bit off there Bully. I saw the video and the racist comment was made when the player went to the fence to get the ball. I reckon he would of heard it perfectly clear being less then a meter away from the supporters. The player was crying as well so it must of been pretty horrible what was said. Apparently as soon as it happened the fourth offical was working with the police to get the bastard. Hope he gets what he deserves

A lot of people dont understand this, reckless challenges will equal reds these days. i.e torres v swansea he made no contact on the player but put a double footed studs up challenge he got a red for recklessness its not a hard concept to master, reckless = red.The laws of the game consider the sort of challenge Kompany made as reckless, therefore a red card. It's not a matter of opinion of whether you agree or not, those are the rules. Simple questions need to be asked did he go studs up? did he go two feet? did his feet leave the ground? did he dive/lunge in with the challenge?. So whether contact was made with the man or not, whether the ball was got or not, its a reckless challenge and a auto red. End of Story
