After spending a night on the turps at the Dom Polski Centre, Fosters was a godsend. That Polish beer is disgraceful. The Fosters went down a treat, and at $2 a bottle, was consumed in large amounts.

For Xmas I was given a 6 pack of Red Stipe (Jamacian), a 6 pack of Bee's Knees, and a assorted 5 (?) pack from the Outback Brewery.

The Red Stripe....it's cold and it's drinkable.
Bee's Knees.....I don't mind it, very smooth, a wheat beer witrh honey.
Outback Pilsner....not bad, probably wouldn't rush out and buy it, but it's a reasonable beer, wouldn't ever knock one back if offered.
More on the other Outback beers later, which strange as it may seem, is made in outback Sydney  .

Tried the "Outback Chilli Beer" tonight, not bad, probably a bit manly for Sheik Yourtootsie though.

Then went to a fully catered for New Years piss up, been drinking Corona's all night (when I can stop my 12 yo flogging it  ). Nice drop, but to nice to buy, my son bloody likes it too much.

Im not a beer drinker unless its over 40 degrees .[/quote]

You should come to England. Thats the exact temperature of the beer over here

Seriously, there are so many quality English beers around  it was dificult to compile a top ten list, so here goes

1 Beck's On sale here 20 bottles for £9.99 or two cases for £20.00 Original stuff imported from Bremen
2 Nastro Azzuro More expensive but at least it's imported from Italy

Thats it really although as a desparate altenative when the Beck's is not on offer

3 Grolsch
4 Stella Both brewed in the UK under licence. Stella at 20 bottles for £7.99 is good value though

Worst beer ever had

Efes. Main brew in Turkey tastes liek carbonated p1ss. 1 pint is enough to leave you feeling like you have just eaten a buffalo

PS I know this is an old thread
