Are Fans Wanting More ???

Postby LPH » Fri Apr 13, 2007 10:58 am

At the risk of raising GAYFL issues  (as those who know me from footysa will support)...

I notice with great delight :lol: that the 'Showdown' is under sold & wonder;

Are we going to see more people 'see the light' & return to their roots (Our Competition) because of both the affordability & accessability of the SANFL, & if so...

What / How is the SANFL marketing itself in order to capitalise on this dissatisfaction of GAYFL Fans ?

I know that most will argue that the SANFL wants it's franchises (Cows & Fisters) to succeed & produce revenue but...

With the success of last week's crowds, nearly 20 000 went to 4 games, surely they need to 'strike while the iron is hot' & promote themselves as 'Family Friendly' (Alcohol free areas) & for the rest of us, able to stand & drink around the ground but most of all the value for money Membership/Season Ticket & Free Entry for kids.

I truly believe that the 'Family Angle' (i.e. Kids) is the key to survival of our league. Sure us 'older fans' have our loyalties & will continue to go & support our teams but the kids are the future supporters.

C'mon Payze & rest  get moving to capitalise on the dissatisfaction of Families & get on the front foot !!

Any comments?

Here's a comment for you. Only Rubgy thickheads call the AFL 'GAYFL'. Get a clue.

With you REB.

Have respect for the game at the highest level.

If I had a club in the comp I would love following it. Unfortunately for me only Port supporters have that.

"Baby on board". Why dont you put a sign on ur car saying "adult on board" or "car stereo in use"?

Oh Ricky...

Tell me the game hasn't been sanitised to be as close to GALIC football as possible.

Are you still upset that Pyman has F**KED your club?

I assume you couldn't get a bus to the game last week :P

Yes, the AFL has been sanitised, there's no doubt about it. Galic football? Is that the kind they play in France or do you mean that Irish stuff which also leaves me scratching my head. I can understand that the AFL is not everyone's cup of tea but what are you going to come up with next, Aerial Ping-Pong?

Pyman has ****** my club?? Well doesn't he get around. The clubs I barrack for tend to do that to themselves LOL.

No mate, I didn't actually get on the bus to the Parade last week as I live in Queensland and it was a bit cold out last Thursday or so I heard.

Well I asked you to get a clue because I thought that might have completed the picture for you but judging by that logic free post above I'd suggest you need several clues. You've got more pieces missing than Melbourne's forward line this week.

Pyman has also taken my club to the finals for the first time since 91 and has us as genuine premiership contenders (aside from last weeks abberation)

You sir, have no idea, and have completely rooted your own thread. Well done.....
