Yeah ordinarily i wouldnt give him the time of day but saw him on the Fox sports cricket show and thought i would read the article to see if it justified his thoughts from the show.

I think his right though just playing Lyon for the sake of having a spinner will do more harm than good. He went on to say that he was very lucky in his career in that he was only ever really played when conditions really suited ala India, Sydney, Adelaide.

How many offies have taken a four for at the Gabba? Not much joy for Gazza in the Republic either real seamers and quicks decks over there. When given the conditions he exploited them well. I know who it is that you don't have the time of day for and it aint Stewie.

The WACA has produced a pitch greener than the outfield, the Indian players apparantly went for their first look at the pitch and seemed upset.
Will get 1 more slight cut before Friday but there will be plenty of grass left on, bring on 4 quicks :D

Hope Clarke wins the toss then

It would seem the WACA staff are a bit simple. Not the best idea of theirs.

Hope he does bat first. It is going to be hot for the first 3 days at least, and with the way the waca wicket can crack, the 4th innings could be on an absolute mine field

Especially poor form considering our opponent, they'll look for anything to make an excuse, whinge and complain. look out if they bat first today and get rolled cheaply, all hell will break loose!

Disgraceful, they look like they we're running amok on it.

I thought they were on the pitch that will be used  . A pitch inspection will be taking place at 11:30am our time.

Hopefully they haven't caused any damage to it. Imagine the embarassment if they had to abandon the test because a few drunken ground staff ruined the pitch.

Even more so if a ball hits a stubby lid and knocks Sachin out. W.A. could be at war with a nuclear power

Yep, there were covers on it for a reason. Why give the opponent something to whinge about?

Surely this is getting blown out of proportion... The workers who prepared the pitch are not allowed to walk on it with barefeet the day before the test (how was the pitch cut/rolled if no one can walk on it) - and then TV commentators are allow to walk on it the day of the test and poke it with keys etc. Gimme a break

1 over of play would cause 50 times the amount of damaged cause by the ground staff - India really should start looking at the bigger picture I think.. effing whingers
