I still give it almost zero chance - obviously theyre laying turf down instead of sowing from scratch like I think they have with GG's new oval.

To be honest it looked like 2 of the pieces of machinery were having a race around the old dog track  but at least there is some action there as the last 6 weeks have produced very little progress

Yep, you're right - Shaun Baker has aborted his Gepps Cross move to play with brother Les. Probably a fair indication of how binding contracts are these days I guess. So I think Ando might have had 1 less than he wanted at training Wristwatcher.

Henley have lost a few big men if what I hear is correct. Adam Turner is having a year off at this stage, and Sam Daniels who played a few A grade games this year is heading to one of the southern leagues i believe.
I know Henley has picked up a few players this year, but dunno how many of them could play key position like the 3 mentioned...

ABORTED?.......The only thing that will be finished is his 2012 season. Word is, Gepps will not release any player who has signed a C.F.B.
Contract. Interesting week ahead, hope Gepps stay strong with this matter and send a clear message.

If he has re-signed with his current club, Gepps Cross can't stop him from playing because he hasn't even been cleared to them yet

The contract will not hold up as told to us by the SACFB last year.
"The player is not your player until he is cleared even if he has signed a contract".
Thus if he declines and vetos the clearance he will stay at his original club. End of story

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Isn't this amateur league football? If someone doesnt want to play football at your club why would you still want them there? If the player hasnt been cleared the contract means bugger all....good luck to gepps cross!

It may have already been mentioned on here but it was news to me today even if it is old news its probably worth mentioning that Daryl Whintle has accepted a job at the Roosters and obviously wont be Broadies senior coach this year. What my mate couldnt tell me was who is replacing him. Does any of you SAAFL bofins know the answer to that one?
