Are you suggesting that he should be selected in the squad on the basis that he has a relative who appeared on a tv show flop like cricket superstar? Or that he is talented? Surely some sort of good form would be a pre-requisite...

Was only stirring the bloke back, i couldnt give a stuff what someone thinks about another person, its there own opinion. At the end of the day the association side should be the best Xl for the season thus far, not by name or what a guy has done in the past. Sometimes a player gets in by name or past talent over a guy whom has preformed really well during the year. But then you do get unavaliablity and you must have reserves in the bank.

Good thing about Smithfield is that we all get a fair bowl on a saturday, don't just rely on 1 or 2 bowlers. but we do lack that 1 bowler who consistanly takes wickets or can intimidate with pace. If we werent so easy going or care free we would probably win more games then we do, got to be more like westies, group hugs, slaps on the arses, thats how you win games LOL, team bonding

To say you need to be more like sals west is a good call, but i would have to say they are def not the sort of team that gets involved in slapping arses and group hugs etc..they win on talent and they have plenty of it..one fails another will stand up , thats with the bat or the ball....now if you said brahma i would agree...go get yourselfs a soccer ball and ya halfway to a premiership..

That line there says it all, their 2nd tier players are as good as any other clubs first tier players. They have an endless list of batsmen and the same goes for bowlers. Just looking at who runs around in their 2's is a fair indication on how good they really are.

And that apart from young Willie, they all hit the ball along the ground 9 times out of 10 and still seem to make 200 plus week in week out. They are a very very good side for sure. My mistake, was Brahma that did the arse slapping and group hugs, got it mixed up there. But Willie is def the X factor of the side, great to have a bloke slap it around, (when it works) and get the side off to a good start. but they can be beaten, atleast we all can think that and have hope if we make finals

Now you knew i would bite!

But Wesities (and Rosies i think) are the kings of group hugs prior to going out to field!

Westies - Yes, plenty of talent, hence why they have been pretty successful.

Has anyone heard of a team winning outright on day 1.

Our B Grade did this on the weekend with about 5 overs to spare, none of us had heard of this happening before.

we have come close twice this season and both times it was our inexperience that cost us.. we definately think they can be beaten and cant work out why anyone else hasnt tested them..

You guys have a very good bowling line-up and make the batsmen play at nearly every ball.

Scored his first run to win the game against united, hit a 4. Then after the game the umpire told us since we only needed 1 to win it only counted as 1.
