Sounds like some of these powerbrokers need to realise they're going nowhere on their current path and need to change tack very quickly unless they want Sturt's spoon record.

FFS, get a coach who's played SANFL in the post AFL era, has had success and has had some coaching experience and put some faith in them. Macgowan would have been perfect, but that boat's sailed. Atkinson could fit the mould, or Scott Lee or even turn back the clock and take one of Port's decorated players. For the full irony effect could Stephen Williams be a good appointment?

On the field, Cubillo would have at least broke even with him.

He was OK, double teamed by NA in the first half, he can get his pay as he tried, if the ball was going over your head by poor disposals at times any player would struggle,,,, the NA lad Cubillo looks very good and has got a good build and is look like a real footballer.

Are West Adelaide imploding before our eyes?
What issues are there- is Weed unhappy about not being able to build the side he wants, or discipline the side as he wants? (re: Willits)

If Weed had not stuck to trying to bring some sanity to the club with player discipline, west may have beaten sturts with cupido up forward in my opinion, but to the weeds credit he made rules and stuck to them. When weed took them over from rehn, lets remember they were bottom and skill levels were rock bottom, they are not much better now but unfortunately west is still rebuilding the mess DT left the football ranks in!!!!! Is the Weed the right man for the job?? None of us know that at present,, a win against the Bays this week and say souths lose as well the pressure shifts to Pyman and Mickam.

Well he's put on a lot of size since the end of last season. Has a real dip and will be a fantastic SANFL footballer.

Priorities Mr WEED
Cant commentate on ABC TV on Saturdays[ game CD V SA] and coach.???
WEED was giving wonderful [entertaining] insights and dossiers on the CD/SA players.
But maybe he should not be.

As Well

Postby dash61 » Mon Apr 16, 2007 12:13 am

As well as everyone having a go at weed and westies just remember, NA are a top four side and will be again this year and westies are fighting to get of the bottom.

There is daylight between CD, PA, WWT, NA and the other 5 teams. And while on the subject of me making poor statements at the present time, here is another. CD & PA are a fair way in front of the other two sides at the moment though. But NA & WWT do have some injuries and from i saw in the magoo's today NA have some very good kids coming through that may make it at the higher level.

Thank god Luke Ivens played in the magoo's, the end result could have been worse as he looked that much better than any other player on the oval

Why not? What were the other coaches doing? Who cares anyway?

Found it interesting having Weed commentating yesterday. Loved it when he was asked about Slattery leaving

Maybe for this season, Roe, Gill & Campbell all got drafted, this kids younger then all of them and im sure the AFL scouts might be interested but has only one good side of his body at the moment but can still improve the other side

Just on that subject, I had to laugh at some people on this site who have a go at Jarman for spending more time in the media than in the coaches box. He does a 30 seconds skit on Channel 10 twice a week yet Ive never ever heard one rumbling about Tim Giniver who spends at least 4 hours with Triple M each week with Magpies games.

My point is, it seems there's some sad sacks who would rather the SANFL didn't have any promotion whatsoever. :?

Not that many first choice players missing for North today dash. Hart, Ivens, Coulter (if he is actually a first choice player), Brett White (needs match fitness and interstingly is being played forward in the 2's). Other than that we were at full strength. I guess Gill will eventually come back through us but we can't rely on AFL listed players.

Brett White ended up at full forward but played most of the ressies game down back.

I couldn't get there for the 2's, but he wasn't named in the best 3 at the presso's last night, and a couple of people I asked yesterday said he went "OK".

The "Pram Lady" was back in god form today (minus the pram)
The kid's out of the pram and walking around now, and a class act just like it's mum, walked up to me and called me "a piece of white shit", and "white trash", not bad coming from a blonde pre schooler with fair skin  She must be so proud of him. :?
