Generally, someone with a bit of pitch knowledge (currently I think it's Greg Fiebig) helps "oversee" the process each week.
The decks can vary from time to time, but they tend to be reasonably consistent.
That could free up some cash for the PLCA or is that a ridiculous suggestion?
PS: Best country oval in Australia is a bit of a big call.
I got told by the president that putting the covers on on a friday night is too much of a hassle for these guys. Can't imagine them prepairing a pitch![]()
. It would be way out of their league.
I guess it's just what people are used to. I know you take a fair bit of pride in preparing a pitch if you're playing on it that weekend.
In the same breath, not everyone is as enthusiastic to spend an hour or two twice a week rolling, mowing, cutting and painting as others, so it does have its limitations.
