Anyone willing to predict the ladder after the minor rounds?

I have been watching Brett Herrmann from Trinity run around all summer in AFL 9s and he has been tearing it too shreds. Not sure what sort of year he had last year but he will be one of the players of the comp if he can replicate his summer form. Pace to burn and a great engine. Exciting young footballer 8)

I'll have a crack at the ladder to pass some time :P A tad hard to predict without seeing clearances though!!

1. Woody sth - nearly played finals div 5...unless mass exodus would have to be the favs for mine, but not by a country mile.
2. Trinity - Were a solid side last year and I have not heard of departures. If they have a few recruits will be very good.
3. Mawson Lakes - Don't forget the Mozzies and watch them closely, a good side on paper already and always recruit well!!
4. Central United - Coach has good contacts, but no idea how successful he has been in recruiting. Bellman would be a big in but sounding as though that has fallen through? Abdulla staying it seems....
5. Lockleys - Have not heard much but were not far off Div 5 pace so should be comfortable coming back down.
6. Ingle farm - Plenty of ins, how good who knows. If big Malbunka stays and can get delivery, they will do well.
7. BOS - very good last year, however, if the rumour of no Hillman's is true its a massive whole with Blunt and Demasi broken. Spry maybe leaving too?
8. CLG - Stewart a loss to forward line, though well replaced with Osborn I believe. Capable of kicking a score but bled too many goals last year, an improvement in defense would see them challenging.
9. Uni - who knows how they will approach year and what injuries happen in grades above. If they treat this as a B grade side, lookout teams above.
10. Houghton - Davis is class. Their best is good but not found often enough. Harsh to be given spooners though, but any side in this div would be.

I would not be at all surprised to see dramatic changes to this however, there is no easy beats as far as I know, Uni beat premiers Kenilworth last year and and Houghton on their day can be more than a handful for sure!

to be honest, imo alot is going to depend this year on the coaches
alot of clubs have a number of new players and good ones at that but i believe their might be upto 6 new coaches
a new coach normally takes abit of time to get the new message throygh and this would have to reflect in the players and their for the results
woody their for have two advantages over the rest and thats the same for the mossies who are very well coached
to me the bbig suprise will be clg
zed has been their for awhile ,is well known, well liked and the lad has proved he can coach
but its feb and way to early
at this stage all teams are in with a chance but like the nba draft, some have a bigger and better chance
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

Even if it's our C Grade, I'm backing us in.

As long as they're also onto closing the div1/1 reserve loophole in which people could play in the div 1 reserve grade on saturday, qualify in the numbers of games played then play on the sunday in lower grade finals on the same weekend...and ensuring that only the permit committee issues permits and, these are issued according to saafl rules and regulations.

I have heard that Herrmy has been carving up. In his time with us he has shown good improvement every season. Is only 22 I think so his best is yet to come. 2 years ago he was our B grade vice captain and played a handful of A grade games and last year consolidated his place in the A grade on a back flank. He is one of our most dedicated trainers and regularly comes to training before heading off for his 9-a-side game on a Thursday night. Now that he has found his place in the A's would love to see him take his game to the next level.

Trust me, this year he will. In Thursday nights Super League he carved up a former SANFL player. Now i am well aware that 9s and regular footy are slightly different but he is playing and moving with real confidence and belief and if he stays injury free will become one of the elite players at your club IMO. Im looking forward to getting out to one of your games this year and sharing a quiet Shandi with the great Kim Hillard and watching the "Herminator" do his thing :D
