1. Mt Barker

3. Blackwood
4. Onka Valley
5. Hahndorf
6. Lofty
7. Iron bank
8. Lobethal

Div 2.

1. TV
2. Bridge
3. Birdwood
4. Kersbrook
5. Echunga
6. meadows

Div 3.

1. Cally
2. Sedan
3. Maccy
4. Nairne
5. Kangy
6. Gumeracha

Wouldnt it make for a red hot season if sides were playing for their division placement in the following season - all of a sudden every single game would count!

This would maybe work if there was a relegation system in place, points system between clubs might also need to be reconfigured.

Yes Im pipe dreaming! Yes the teams selections are NOT personal - I just looked at minor round ladders etc.

Let the abuse begin!

Gumeracha in Cgrade football laughable, your a joke wannabe champ!

Jesus AKA I just said I'd have a go and throw some teams in the mix, A) this is not really going to happen B) it certainly was not set in stone.
Apologies to Gumeracha. :ymhug:

5 teams left in the country U17 comp...byes every second week..

clubs are not happy..the HFl needs to act. country div clubs may have to move to central to get their colts teams a game.

What teams are left in the colts Big Fella? Also, clubs can't just go up to Central. Central must have only 10 sides without changing the constitution. And change for that reason would never get through.

only 5 senior colts teams  i'm assuming that echunga, birdwood, kangarilla, meadows and nairne are the clubs that have teams this year. very dissapointing if true. hopefully other teams will eventuate closer to the start of the season.

If this is true you can expect that the competition will sooner than later be finished, already clubs are struggling to keep their players due to the weak comp.

From what I understand, they have picked up a few handy recruits and personell on the training track is pretty good. Unfortunately I believe they have lost Caine Jinnette which would be a major dissapointment for the club. If they can get the attitudes of their younger players, who have shown glimces of thier potential, to improve, they may well be a pretty strong contender this year. IMO :)

9. Mt. Lofty C's
10. Cornerstone
The Div 3 comp would only be one senior team and perhaps one colts team (e.g. U14's). Due to the size, current performance and number of colts coming through Maccy, CUE and S/C will find it very hard to be able to provide 2 full competetive senior teams in the future. This option still gives the club footy and a chance for the kids coming through to still play for the club.

All good in theory - but herein lies the problem (and the reason why "such a simple problem" hasn't been fixed) -
1/ Introducing 'Cornerstone' creates issues. currently they feed the established teams in the comp. School people for years have proposed such an idea as it hels advertise/promote the schools. However it fails to take into account the impact on existing clubs AND the number of behind-the-scenes paople required to make it work.
2/ maccy currently have a full quota of teams - Mt Barker C's, Lofty c's etc are but 1 single team looking for a game. What do those sides with colts and 2 senior teams do??
3/ Your Div 1 looks good but I would make 1 change - taking a longer-term approach, I would reinstate Birdwood (ahead of Ironbank) as they have a larger population base AND a high school as a feeder. I think the HFL erred greatly and showed limited vision on their demotion.
As I said - the whole concept is good in theory.....

Shayne Mitchell has got the reighns again, after being let go late last year. Damian "Dolly" Dolman will be his assistant I believe.

I heard that Dolman & Mitchell are to be joint coaches, not sure how that will work, Shayne Mitchell has been re-instated otherwise about 10 players were going to leave.

I know of a club that were prepared to talk merge with them, Cally that is, but the offer was declined. This was about 3 years ago now.
