I'm not 100% sure about Deluca, but Thomson and Chaplin deserve to be in the Power 22. Chaplin shoulda never been dropped in the first place.

Thommo has been excellent early this year and sadly will get demoted soon. Think Chappy's gone too after a brilliant performance on Sunday. But Deluca has really taken the next step up - his ruck work was top notch against the Bays as it was against Westies. McGowan seems to be using him more as no. 1 ruck with Feasty as back up which has not been the case previously. This seems to have done his confidence a world of good and I could see him playing for the puffs sooner rather than later.

Question is, who does Sturt have to fill the void? Jake Bowen is probably our only fit option at the moment but his form is patchy. Maybe this is the jolt he needs. Alex Lee would be big enough but not sure of his rucking ability.

Having seen Port & Sturt this year I don't think we can seriously threaten the Maggies. But particularly from the last half at Unley there was enough to suggest that we can be more than competitive.
"A no vote from any club means there is some sort of risk involved in our entry into the competition not working," Steven Trigg.

I'd imagine it wouldn't have been out of the average Sturt supporter's mind to have been 0 and 2 with the season but a formality after that?

Wedgie, I'm not sure I'm wetting myself, but yes, I did think that 2 wins for the season would be a good effort. Anything now (even being competitive with the top sides) is a bonus.

It might rain on sunday, which will probably mean the big mens influence may not be that great, so the game will be played on the ground alot more. With Feast and Deluca(almost definately) not playing, that may not kill us as bad as we think. Even though port probably will

Good mate. I thought I'd tow the official footy.net line regarding the formalities. Did you want me to call you Mr Wedgie instead :D

I'll have to try and catch up at a game perhaps - Sturt play the villians from Prospect soon don't they? (saying this, my old man is still at Prospect with the juniors!)

My mail is that Feast, Chaplin and Deluca will line up for SFC Sunday.
There is only one team I love as much as the Double Blues, the Double Blues Reserves.......

Port have named an unchanged lineup it seems.

The reserves sees the long awaited debut of Daniel Hargraves in Magpies colours. Also coming in is young Brad Mercer who has kicked 17 goals in the first two weeks of the 19s (11 last week). Hope he plays well.
