Hehe
And cant say im trolling cos its just a simple observation. Maybe theres a pattern maybe there is not.
Not sure who the umpires were, but here's a breakdown of his votes:
Rd 2 - 3 votes - Not named in Top 5 - Lost to Broadview by 8pts
Rd 6 - 3 votes - Named 2nd Best - Lost to TTG by 27pts
Rd 7 - 1 vote - Named Best - Def Eastern Park by 2pts
Rd 11 - 3 votes - Named 2nd Best - Def Broadview by 30pts
Rd 15 - 3 votes - Named Best - Def TTG by 39pts
Rd 16 - 2 votes - Not named in Top 5 - Def PHOS by 16pts
Rd 18 - 1 vote - Named 5th Best - Def Eastern Park by 56pts
Only twice he got votes and wasn't named in Gepps' Top 5. He couldn't have been playing too badly if the club had him in their best 5 out of the 7 games he got votes in...
Getting 3 votes when you lose by 27 points and only get 2nd best for your team doesnt sound right. Prob shouldn't have got any votes here. Also 3 votes in another losing game when not named in your clubs best 5 doesn't sound right either. Nor does the other 2 votes when not named in his clubs best 5. This totals 8 votes. Brings him much further down the list than number 1 doesn't it???
Last year Dane Swan won the brownlow and not his clubs best and fairest? what's the big deal?
I think you're fast to forget the association medal votes are done by umpires and club best and fairest votes are done by coaching staff.
Both parties view the game from different angles and perspectives... Don't see what the big deal is?
