I noticed in the Ressies Light Pass can virtually choose their opponents for their semi final.

If they tank vs Truro they will play Truro. Beat Truro they will more than likely face Greenock as they should win against Eudunda.
Turo would appear to be the easier opponent but having lost yesterday i dont think they will want to go into the finals on the back of 2 losses.

Freeling and Lyndoch will face each other 2 games in a row.

In the 1's i would think Centrals should get enough points against South to go past Gilbert valley and claim the minor premiership as i predicted at xmas time ;)
Angaston should get enough points against Tanunda to stay in front of Kapunda.
So even if the top 4 all win we could still see shuffling of the ladder.

I think semis will be Central vs Kapunda and Gilbert Valley vs Angaston

At the other end of the ladder, could a miracle happen and South get out of relegation and put Nuri down??

If South can somehow knock off Centrals in the 1st innings, then both teams maybe willing to set up an outright result giving Central the chance to still finish top and South to get to 6th.

I wouldnt be tipping centrals to do too much come finals time as we got beaten by the footballers yesterday in a twenty20 match...we had consumed a fair few ciders though so i guess that could be an excuse.

The game was played in good spirits apart from the A Grade ruckman hitting Matt Perry in the chin with a very swift short ball!

ive seen alot worse then my last post written.. maybe shouldnt have worded it as i did but i thought an honest opinion was the best way to go bout things. they made our score and we bowled them out saturday. there were 21 overs to be played and we said we'd bat them out. instead they pulled the stumps up and started rolling up the mats. we then said roll them back out cos we r batting the overs.. we did it due to needing points not to be pricks.. they couldnt c why we were doing it tho. not that hard to work out is it.. if we were being relagated aswel as them we woulda gladly called it stumps and had a beer

Possibly, that post has a lot more merit.

Pretty poor form this late in the season, of course teams are going to try and eek out as many points as they can.

plenty of clubs have learnt from Kapunda's mistakes a couple of years ago...there is no excuse for going to the pub at 3pm on the second saturday any more...

We missed finals once by 4 runs, we finished up early at least 5 times during the minor rounds.

Another example of South's poor form.
The points GV gained from their second innings lifted them back to top.
Maybe South should drop back to the A4's if they want to pack up as soon as first innings is over.
Nothing will change at that club while the Barker's are running the show

I reckon Kapunda were relegated by about the same margin two years ago...We played a second innings in the final round against Bigbull's mob at the dog track and they finished about 7/90 from 11 overs but the runs put them above Kapunda

The subject of South seems to be a common theme - any examples of how they carry on??

ur right extractor. 2nd day of a 2day match should be seen out.. 75 overs both days of the match r comin more common. its where points can come in very handy at the end of the yr. for example we played the 21 overs remaining on satday and ended up with 160 on the board thanks mainly to riley barker opening the bowling and bowling half trackers. also them bowling the other barker lad aswel. both usually dont bowl alot. 1 fielder on the boundary having a smoke, 1 player havin a beer in the 1st innings when he got out, no one walking in with the bowler in gv second dig and them dishing out some unnecessary send offs

looks like south still run a really professional club hey. Don't know why they even want to play in the A1 comp if that is how they want to behave. Perhaps they should have their very own league????
