what a joke it is time to send them to c grade i think everyone has given enough time to get their act together they are destroying the comp. The comp is not just getting destroyed because how pathetic they are but the other clubs are struggling to recruit because they are still in it which is stopping it from improving time to wake up HFL and send them to c grade

I know of a club that were prepared to talk merge with them, Cally that is, but the offer was declined. This was about 3 years ago now.

Which club was that?

No, I heard those blokes were leaving if Mitchell wasn't coach.

It was Sedan/Cambrai. Goodness knows what they were thinking of; S/C are better than that. Just another melodrama at Callington - players will play/won't play if others are/aren't there. Might explain why they've never been able to get an actual TEAM together since the early days.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

As far as I'm aware there was no offer to merge from S/C. But there was an offer made by the MMFA to join the league.

I'll be honest, I find it hard to believe that Sedan and Callington would even consider merging... not excatly around the corner from each other.

Not Sedan, anyone who really wants to know please message me because its still an ongoing discussion. Particularly if anyone on this forum has influence or involvement with the HFL committee/board, I'd be keen to hear their view, privately

Does the HFL have a history of poor decision making; not plannin for long term is a huge problem.

Clubs are being dictated too while others are seemingly seen as power brokers.

Very dangerous spot and surely country division clubs who have their shit together would be considering ALL of their options....

I heard that Dolman & Mitchell are to be joint coaches, not sure how that will work, Shayne Mitchell has been re-instated otherwise about 10 players were going to leave.

Geez dont tell me that these 10 players are the difference at Cally, they are a bloody joke, and not even a funny one,the season's just about to start and their going to get belted again this year.[/quote]

Maybe you should go down there and sort them out Old Fullback. Heard you were a bit of a legend in your day and you might be able to turn things around

Seeing as there seems to be no Clearances into Callington I would say they would be in for another Hard year, and with the first 2 rounds being Echunga and Kersbrook, we could see the return of the 50 to 60 + goal wins very early!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes however if they have one or less legs they are indeed worth zero points unless playing for Callington...
