The Diadora Cup

Postby Wedgie » Wed Apr 18, 2007 9:27 am

Yikes, yet another cup in the SANFL, this one is to be battled between Glenelg, West and Port merely because they wear/get sponsored Diadora.
Surely this is taking it a little too far?
PS What's with the pussycat in the photo today behind Brett Backwell, looks more like Puss in Boots from Shrek 2 than a tiger. :?

Port v West v Glenelg? Did Brad Murray just take the cup with him yesterday to save them having to do it at the end of the year?

What next.........the Elastoplast Cup for clubs who use Elastoplast sports medical products?

Or the Bonds Cup for teams who wear Bonds brand sports jocks ?

Maybe we could have the Puma medal for the highest vote getter in the Magarey medal who wears Puma boots?

I remember in the late 90's Geelong and the Western Bulldogs played for the Fila Cup (both club's clothing supplier at the time).

IMO, it's the dumbest cup ever invented - what's next, the Jax cup, or the Football Park Aluminium Seats cup (for clubs that have used their portion of the old Football Park seating).
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10
