Yep Brett Vanders is our A gr Capt this season, he was vice to Matty Purcell last season, doing a great job. Brwett used to be a fire cracker but he was very disciplined last year and has shown great leadership through the pre saeson this year. Im unsure of the circumstances with Matty but he is named in the A's this week. He may have investigated other offers from other clubs but it seems he realised footies more fun when your havin a kick with your mates. It's great to have his services on board. We dont pay players at the Units, all A gr players get about 25 doggy dollars per win and considering we havent lost an A grade game in 2 years it turns out to be not a bad deal. Everyone at Central United is excited about moving up to Div 5 and if this young group stick together we hope to give it a good shake. Joey Karpany won our B&F last season. His a top player and a great bloke. Some of his family are still around the club but he is yet to don a guernsey at the units this year.

How do you make sence of a game being scrappy when the scores were 118 v 109? The fact of the matter is that no one really knows what each team is like and every one is guessing. All i'll say is that kenilworth didnt have a few major players playing last week including a major goalkicker familiar to the div 5,6 scene but will return this week.Should be a belter of a game at Kenilworth and can't wait.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Tips for this week-Fitzroy to defeat Elizabeth by 6 goals (No Halliday leaves a big hole)
Smithfeild to beat Central Utd by 3 goals (Smithfield are a flag threat,Centrals will improve and will make
the top 5)
Kenilworth to defeat Plympton by less than 1 goal (This game will show where each team is at this year)
Brahma Lodge to defeat Greenacres convincingly (Greenacres beat a very average side last week, but did
kill them,Brahma have slightly improved on last year)
Adelaide Lutheran to smash Glenunga (Lutherans are a top 3 side,Glenunga in diabolical trouble)
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Justin did his ankle in the last quarter, just in time for his engagement party. :? Might miss a week or 2 i think. Were very dissapointed. We were at nearly full strength today. On a happier note Troy Wittwer played his 1st game of footy with his son Josh today in the Bs. He was very proud, Josh is a gun, 1 of the best on ground
