Cant bag umpires, do we really want to have to umpire our own games?

Already happened in the Bgrade and an umpire has retired because of it.

I thought there were maybe two lbw decisions that were a bit harsh.

so i shouldnt bag them ..to use your words .. but you choose to dance around with a "a bit harsh"

congrats to the prop lads who didn't whinge about playing the grand final on a sunday, and to the props lads, captain, officials and hangers on that bagged the executive relentlessly for making the decision to play on sunday maybe next year grow a set and step up and put your hand up for a position on the executive so that everyone can whinge and bag you about every decision that you make.

actually id say you were fairly lucky to get the win with all the talk from the captain on saturday about how props are just going to "forfeit if wandearah want it that much". yeah like the executive made the decision to play on sunday to suit either club, actually it was the props delegate that seconded a motion ( and i believe you were at the meeting bigstack ) that " all a grade finals be played at memorial oval, or the "home of cricket" as its also known. i heard that props wanted to lodge an appeal on the executives decision to play on sunday at memorial, what happened there bigstack changed your mind about playing ' all a grade finals at memorial oval' ?

what did the pitch play like bigstack ( obviously not as good as a hard wicket ), it looked all right form the poor mans, great day, and a fair sized crowd, cricket was the real winner id say

anyway have a good mad monday, hopefully you all got time off from your jobs to have a few beers today

Jason Holman deservedly won the Donnie Waters medal.
Props and Wandies in the A Grade was not played yesterday and has been rescheduled for today, most probably at memorial oval provided they can get the turf pitch up after all the rain.

props win ..

yep unfortunately

Why unfortunately Squids ? Surely even a b grade scrubber like you would give credit where it is due. Wandearah may have been disappointed but at least they were gratious in defeat. Squids did you mention Karma a little while back. Jokes on you sunshine !!!!!

bigstack is it your limited knowledge of the competition, or just your limited knowledge that prevents you from understanding what squids is meaning by his statement

I agree with Squids' comment on this.
We are very lucky in the PPCA to have the benefit of Umpires rather than having to Umpire our own games.
In most matches both teams will think that one or two decisions didnt go their way, but I think the Umpires in Port Pirie on the whole do a great job and theres too much public criticism of them and clubs saying they dont want certain umpires involved in their matches.
So well done to Johnsy, Gino, Crackers and Tony for officiating in two good Grand Finals which were keenly contested and well attended.

Congratulations to Warnertown on the B grade premiership over risdon and also to Props on the A grade over Wanderah. I was lucky enough to see both games and both were rippers and played in good spirit, excpept for the the risdon captain making a tool of himself after having all three of his stumps knocked over for a duck and then wanting to stay out there and argue with the fielding side. Mate when this happens next time it's probably better to get off that oval as quick as possible.
Oh well looks like its time to get the footy boots out. catch yas next year. GO THE BATS!

Well maybe the Warnertown heros did not have to say anything when they knew the captain could not do anything back....I heard the captain was reminding them that they did nothing to contribute to the win.

Is having a go at a 15 year old kid when you are 40plus playing in good spirit?

Might as well put an asterix next to the win from what I am hearing.

Risdonz will be reviewing their recording of the game to see if the rumours are true....if true Wanrnetown will be kicked out the comp

yeah fair point there which grade, the send off may have been a bit over the top but all i'm saying is that when ur knocked over for a duck it's probably best not to hang aroud too long and embarrass yaself more. Id also be interested in hearing the reasoning of winning the toss and bowling first. Ive always thought batting first in a gf and getting runs on the board is the best tactic like props proved on sunday. Looks like that Karma bus made 1 more stop on it's way out of pirie, beep beep. (sorry, heard that mentioned after the game and had a bit of a laugh)
And whats this about looking at footage of the game. Is there some controversy i havnt heard of?
