With the 36ers going backwards under Marty Clarke this season (2nd to bottom-wooden spoon) the club need to do the right thing and sack him. The real worry is with another year to go on his contract due to finances might keep him going next season but the fans deserve better than that.

You only need look at the top scorer's list from the last round of games - Forman, Hill, Rychart & Burston. Have all been a past player at some stage and would make a massive difference to our win/loss ratio, but playing elsewhere because our franchise is crap. :roll:

Congratulations also to our NBL Media Award winners, The Advertiser's Boti Nagy was named Basketball writer of the year again and ABC Adelaide's Peter Walsh took out the Best Radio Presentation award. Also Best Photo for the year was of the 36ers Daniel Johnson taken by Scott Barbour of Getty Images.

The 36ers had their end of season awards tonight and Daniel Johnson won team MVP, Players player of the season and the Most Improved player awards and Mitch Creek was named Best Defensive player.

In other news Cairns Taipans veteran Aaron Grabau has re-signed with the team to a one-year deal.

Talk in NZ that Game 1 of their SF tonight against the Crocs could sell out the nearly 10,000 capacity Vector Arena in Auckland and if so would be the largest ever crowd to watch a basketball game in NZ.

Just finished watching the game, massive upset by the Crocs in front of a huge crowd in Auckland. Townsville now can wrap up the series at home on Thursday night but need to keep in mind the Breakers dropped Game 1 of their SF series to Perth at home last season too and obviously went on to win the series.

Game 1

Townsville 99 (Crawford 26, Gill 21, Mims 13, Holmes 12) def New Zealand 82 (Abercrombie 20, Wilkinson 19, Jackson 15)

Crocs lead the series 1-0

In other news at the Sydney Kings awards night tonight the team announced they've re-signed Shane Heal as coach to a two-year deal. Also Julian Khazzouh won the Kings team MVP award and the Player's player award. Anatoly Bose won the Most Inspirational Player award and Jerai Grant won the Best Defensive Player award.

Larry Davidson won the Members MVP, Rhys Martin got Most Improved Player of the year, Tyson Demos Defensive Player of the year, Daniel Jackson Community Player of the year and retiring Mat Campbell was named Player's player of the year and made a life member of the club.

spurs just spanked cavs, mills top scores off the bench for spurs with 20.

diaw was good to, i really rate him.
i never liked spurs but id love them to win one more championship for mills.
