As one of the blokes who writes the previews we were a bit hamstrung by the word limit but were given a good 800 more last week
Hopefully edition 2 is a bit better
Any feedback to mailto:grassroots31@yahoo.com

Ultimately the clubs pay for it so they are pretty receptive to what you want...
milestones can always be sent to us at the roots.
maybe you could read them out?

I know it is still early but a few years back when Les Daveron was the main contributor it seem to have agood round up from all clubs and a good write up on the top divisions.

Top call, When Les was running it, he knew all about the players and leagues. He knew who were performing, not just reading the best players, any chance Team of The Year section could return???? Was a good insight to the state team, when it wasn't this mickey mouse Under 23 crud.

We are the only association without a budget apparently. Went to a amateur meeting last year when this guy was trying to get it printed. He had the printing costs and quotes and the same money each club give to Sportsbeat (Yes Sportsbeat is basically paid for by all the clubs) would only be used to produce the Football Budget. This guy was going to produce 32 pages and not a crappy 8.Westsider wrote:Another, cheaper option, is to have an online magazine produced each week.
I'm assuming the biggest cost would be printing costs. Why not have it produced online, and downloadable as well in pdf format, which clubs can download and print off.
Just an idea.

If you want a budget to cover all 34 A Grade games on a Saturday I suggest you get a group of blokes together and starting working on Round 18's budget about now.
