3 life sentences

where life sentences mean life, well at least they used too

we follow america in so many things. why not law?

3 life sentances sounds good to me, and serve them. Not in Aus, 25 years probably

1. Because they have over 11,000 handgun deaths a year
2. Because they have a prison population over 2 million people
3. They execute juvenilles and those with low IQs

and that's just for a start.

Because that country is ******. Worst rate of recidivism among OECD countries. No thanks.

Really?

So those who receive a death sentence don't learn from the experience, and promptly re-offend upon being resuscitated?

Depends on how good his lawyers are.

Which in turn depends upon how much filthy lucre he has.

Not unlike Australia. Right, Eugene?

Kapunda Killer

Postby White Line Fever » Wed Mar 28, 2012 10:33 pm

I heard the first officers on scene were affected badly.
Hasn't been reported but apparently he went to town on the bodies.
Really messed up stuff.
Disembowelled them.

I've never agreed with the death penalty personally.

I think it should be lock up with zero chance of release.

Isolation.

And that letter sent chills down my spine.

Punishment should be..... take 1 life = 30 years (no paROLE), take 2 or more lives= LIFE, AND THAT MEANS life. rot in a ferken cell

yep they give them what they deserve.....3 strike system. steal a pack of chewies 3 times and its all over. away for life. well deserved.
then someone like OJ kills 2 people but because he has money walks free... well deserved.
also have the right to shoot someone if you think youre in strife, ie zimmerman shooting trayvon martin. trayvon was armed with skittles and iced tea, zimmerman hasnt even been charged.
great system. lets base ours on theirs.

People are so PC and sensitive these days. For the atrocities this man (yes 18 is an adult) committed, he doesnt deserve an attempt at rehabilitation and the c**t should die or rot away for eternity at very least.

Do we still swear on the bible here in Aus ? A massive contradiction don't ya think, swearing to tell the truth to a book, then so quickly dismissing the "an eye for an eye" excerpt from said book.

It's not about being PC, but understanding decades of analysis of incarceration and prison systems and knowing what does and doesn't work.

I'm sure our judicial system will decide to imprison him for much of the best years of his life.

Analysis, like the overkill of analysis out there that tell us what we can or can't eat or what is good or not good for us, then years on Hang on! recent analysis suggests that we were wrong with our original analysis. Keep it simple is my motto, we all know that the prison system here is prone to overcrowding, so why waste taxpayers money and time keeping heinous criminals alive.

I'm with BS on this. I hope this young man gets locked away for life but cannot believe the redneck, feral attitude of posters regarding the death penalty. The death penalty justifies killing. It is hard to put yourself in the situation, but god forbid anything ever happened to my family..I would say my overwhelming emotion would be to grieve and hurt for the loss of my loved one. I can't fathom how hurting someone else would make me feel better? I am not religious at all FWIW.

Easy said until it happens to you stumps.

Bible says Eye for an Eye, and rather than pay $80 per day to keep this pond scum in prison I say we save the $1.75million to keep him alive for the next 60 years put a bullett in his head.

When you are thinking about this, think about what he did to those 3 people.

Everyone has a choice in life. he made his.

He made his bed, now he has to lie in it 8)
