How did everyone go in their last hit out before the season starts. Any reports on the games???? Nairne had one, Birdwoods internal and Echunga went against Tailem Bend. Did Echunga seem to have all their players from Last year, as rumors were they were loosing 3 or so? Can any confrim how they all went?

Surely he'll have his work cut out enough as the coach without playing as well!

Peake would struggle to beat any team other than Sedan and Callington in Hills Country so a draw is probably a fair reflection of the two sides.

Not to say Sedan/Cambrai will be world beaters but a draw was a vast improvement on our trial against them last year. Had about 10 B Grade players in this team (including some kids) as well so hopefully should do a bit better come the season proper.

wasnt at the echunga hit out so couldnt tell you who played, but i believe a strong win. I can only think of J Edwards and Craig Hall that are leaving

Echunga at one stage lead 7-4 to 1-4 and finally held on to win by 4 pts. Good hit out.

Rumblings from Kangys and Meadows are not sounding good prior to Rd1! Understand Kangys are in for a looooong year and Meadows will go downhill too!

Weren't they already down hill...? Are we talking getting Callington bad? That'd mean literally half the comp would be absolutely terrible - Cally, Sedan, Maccy, Kangy, Meadows... or is that stating the obvious already... maybe a case of err same same??
