Brahma have a 3 qtr trial vs Ingle Farm in the C grade this weekend, followed by 3 qtrs of B grade then the A's. Looking forward to the challenge, like most sides at this time of the year we will be missing quite a few players, but the lads are excited about getting out there for a competitive run. Sure beats the internal trials!

No point talking up too much in March but i will say this much. I have been talked out of retirement  and i have NO DOUBT that blokes who dont train wont be getting a game.
Its quite humorous that PNU have technically dropped 6 divisions in C grade in 12 months. The last 7 years have been shocking at times but i think this year we will be competitive in all games. I only hope that if we have some early season sucess that the appearance of the front running glory boys is met with a POQ 8)
Klompy is back at the club along with a dozen new recruits who are all the wrong side of 30 but still handy footballers. One thing is for sure though..At PNU the best 42 footballers will be playing As and Bs with very few acceptions. At times this may hurt our chances but if i know anything about football then its a safe bet that i wont lose my 20th game in a row as a player....THE WRISTWATCHER NEVER EVER LOSSES 20 IN A ROW

Most of them are just out of school recent years. Average age would be around 25ish, but that depend on injuries if it isn't recurrence like last year as I heard that one weekend they had about 21 injuries and the old boys would be required badly.

I'm quite surprised to see PNU 3rds in C4. PDFC's 3rd side had a comparable year last year and are still in C2. I woulda thought that PNU would have been in C3 at the least!

Bye (throughout the year)

Thoughts, considerations and how does your higher grades in your clubs effect your teams this year (if any). Will you have a better level of depth due to recruiting in higher grades? Enjoy the year guys.

We got confirmation on Wednesday that Ingle Farm will fill the empty space in C4, therefore erraticating the bye! Don't think they have updated the program yet.

If thats true its a bloody joke. No harm done as round 1 hasnt started yet but come on. If this is corret they should be banned form being able to enter a sisde into the league. Permanently!!

Im sure the SAAFL will take a tough stance on this one and ban them for a year ;)

How long can you go without a team before you get disaffiliated?

Eastern Park will do okay in this grade. We played them in a trial yesterday and they beat us - only just.
They run ok and have a lot of experience. Just be interesting to see if their old legs run out of legs towards the end of the season.

Not surprised, their coach indicated they have good numbers, and last time I played at EPFC the C grade had a very good senior core group with a couple players who definitely could be playing higher, like Benji Smith. That bloke is a gun, just doesnt have the dedication to play higher.

Really looking forward to round 1, the lads had a solid hit out vs Ingle Farm on the weekend and can't wait to get out there and play for some premiership points!

Just spoke with one of the guys from EPFC C grade....man they have a very formidable side!! Too good for this C grade comp! When you can rest Corey Noble in the forward line, you know you are going ok.

However, they have had the same problem for years, of not making the players play B grade who can...which from some of the names could easily be up at a dozen. Good luck to them, will go very well this year. Cant wait to have another kick on my old stomping ground.
