here is my commentary for the season proper.....

Mallee Park - Really no use looking at the Sporting Pulse page for the Peckers, as last year it had more lines than Ricky Nixons bedside table. Shooting for a chance at glory and the path towards the magical 5 in a row - no doubt will maintain Top 2

Tasmans - My mail tells me the Roosters have recruited "very well" and "quite comfortable" that their losses can be covered. A coach in his 3rd year, does he propel himself into the game more to dominate from the midfield - he needs some more support on the bench - I reckon they may have found that! Top 2

Waybacks - The recruiting cupboard looks quite bare from Sporting Pulse and their losses from last year should number around 7. Some signings still to be processed - so the gap is not as bad as it seems. A couple of bigger fellas will help, but need to find some goal kicking options. Midfield strong still! Top 3

Souths - New Coach, who has the smarts - very fit for this time of year. Looks as thou the Eagles could be the big winners so far in the recruiting stakes.... only a sharp improvement in "wins on the board" would see that effort recognised. I would expect them to finish in the four

Boston - New Coach, a favorite son at Tigerland. Certainly a youth policy being employed, topped off with some important signings will see the Tigers competitive. But sorry to say - bottom 2

Marble Range - this will be the story of the year. This very proud and professional club, their losses are mounting - can the catering committee re-ignite this injured magpie. The return of Parker helps, and Even with a new coach - I cant see them being Top 4.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

A letter ... C'mon CU , that's a little harsh.

On the weekend I thought Mallee's looked awesome. Will take a lot of improvement from the other clubs to compete this year.

I am sure they would have. Businesses would be lining up, knocking each other over to be part of it wouldnt they? ;)

Great to see Meggsy Enright in the paper was a great player for the Rangers, and a good guy
glad to know that he has overcome some big hurdles.
