It was mentioned to me by some APFL players who were suprised to see him playing but I see no clearance so might have just been window shopping?

The straight swap could be on. Johnston for Graham. Virginia for Gumeracha.

Why would he be Denied? is he still a required player at the Magpies?

Needs to be cleared from his junior or most recent club outside of the SANFL.

Incorrect, needs to retire from Port Adelaide Magpies which is a SANFL rule imposed on players who leave while contracted, prevents appearing for another SANFL club.

With the clearance methods all electronic once its lodged any/all clubs who holds a registration with a player will be notified and asked to provide a tick.

He needs to fill out a permit clearence. That way Port can still get something for him if another SANFL club come sniffing

Round 1 (Looks to be some Blow Outs )
Birdwood Vs Sedan Cambrai - see how much Sedan have improved seems to be some Ins over the Summer - 20 to 30 Goal Win to Birdwood.
Echunga Vs United Eagles - Interesting to see who shows up for the Eagles and if all these guys put forward to the HFL actually show up or dissapear??? Echunga by 50 Goals +
Gumeracha Vs Kangarilla - Kangy picked up some old key players but Gums will be too strong at home and get up by 5 to 7 goals.
Kersbrook Vs Meadows - Meadows win over Kersbrook in last years finals was an upset and dont see them getting within 5 goals of the brookers at home.
Nairne Bremer Vs Macclesfield - Nairne have some (Talked Up) recruits and we will see how they perform, Maccy have a few Ins as well so will be an interesting match up and may even be a close game, But at Home Nairne by 3 or 5 goals.

Birdwood picked up Switala who is a classy act!

Was going at a fair price too?

Birdwood are after Tim White as well and he won't come cheap. No wonder Birdwood put their subs up this season.

I wouldn't think they would have the longest record of losses having won a game last year, but boy, do they lose by a lot!

I'd be very surprised if he was being offered anything substantial. Played at birdys a couple of years ago and left for Greenacres I believe? for a lot of cash. a fine player but not worth any big dollars.

We'll hold our judgement on that one. What about if he's not in their top 35 contracted players? Where to then?

Echunga v/s CUE
They will need 10 people to monitor the gate for this clash, cars will be lined up for miles just to get in the gate. HFL Disaster Relief match of the day.

Would luv to see a callington match. Maybe the hills league could schedule them on Sundays so that others that play country footy could get along to a match. Would be a great money making

noticed on the clearance site that Nairne recruit Zac Peake has put a clearance back in to go back to Mildura a massive blow a week after losing Josh Laube

Yeh, looks like Zac wants to go home. We'll have to see how this one plays out as he's a contracted player. Very disappointed if we loose both Zac and Josh but the Club needs players who want to do the hard yards and help build a successful outfit. We've got a lot of hard work ahead of us, but training has been really positive and the coaches throughout the Club are working hard to develop a winning culture. The appointment of Tony Fielke as Senior Coach has been a fantstic move, I reckon the 45 players at training last night would agree.

It's good to hear that. Nairne are a good, well respected club with a well run junior program.
I remember some great battles in '04 '05.
