Great call on 5AA tonight mate, you left Rowey and KG speechless, I knew if I'd keep the radio on long enough I'd hear a good call!

My memory is always shocking but basically said he couldn't understand why more people were at Footy Pk tonight than Glenelg Oval today, then when Rowey tried to say how unlucky the Bays were he actually said how the official Glenelg stats showed Glenelg getting 46 frees compared to Westies 19.
KG was orgasiming in the background while Rowey was trying to turn it around on his own supporter.
It was quite amusing but the basic motto was that SANFL is better to watch than the sideways backwards crap of the AFL and that the Bays tried to play that sort of footy and lost.

LOL, knew that was someone from here when I heard them taking about Ecky with the stats. Were the stats you quoted actually correct?

Hooray! Do you know what was actually said? I'm disappointed I missed it!

If you are talking about the free kick count today, yes it was 46-19. (but that does include out on the fulls)

Rowey thought the stats were "fudged" and then Dutchy said they were the offical GFC stats quoted by "Ecky".
It was quite amusing listening to Rowey argue against a Bays fan when it came to the stats while KG was having kittens in the background.

Dutchy, I too would be distancing myself from the 5AA call because although the banter with Rowey was good and got him on the back foot, there was one of the most outlandish statements I've ever heard made as well. My ears could have been playing tricks but I'm sure the caller said the game between West and Glenelg was more entertaining and a better game than the one between the Crows and Sydney. Now just think about that statement for a sec and somehow we are supposed to believe that 2 teams that couldnt make the 5 in our comp produced a better game than the sides that finished 2 and 3 in the AFL- pure fantasy.

I saw both games today and the AFL game was the worst, just a defensive slog....at least the SANFL game generated some scoring

Dutchy its ok, you can own up and admit it was you on air. I also saw both games and let me be frank, the Bays and West are absolute crap and it was only the closeness of the scores that kept me watching. I'm not suggesting the Crows v Sydney game was a classic but at least you can appreciate the higher skill and class level than was shown at the Bay. If all you want is high scoring perhaps Gaza vs Broadies u'13s might be your go.

The SANFL is best enjoyed at the game G.

Try getting to a game and experience the whole package. Far more enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere.

Matt I only attend between 15 and 20 SANFL games plus finals every year and I do love the atmosphere at 66% of those. All I am trying to say is sit back and admire the advanced skills at AFL level. Dutchy, I was only stirring re whether it was you or not and to be honest I couldnt care either way but I accept that this was an imposter.

I don't know any other Dutchys and the only person I remember giving the stats to after the game was Paul Blandis who read them out on RPH.(Thanks for the on-air plug for us by the way, Paul  ) I doubt he would have rang up KG though!

So I presume that the person who rang up either heard the stats on RPH or when I posted them on the Snouts forum - so it could have been anyone really...

The AFL competition has its moments, yet it is far too sterile compared to the SANFL. The skill level of shots on goal kicking from outside 50 is higher in the SANFL than the AFL and why that is I really dont know, it seems that if a player in an AFL game takes a grab on or just outside 50 all they want to do is pass it off which often ends up in a turnover, the SANFL players tend to back themselves more and take the shots which makes for a far more interesting game of footy.
