I hope the SFL take this incident very seriously and a fitting penalty is handed down.

Slammer any news from the tribunal?

Thats funny as i was there and witnessed the incident. My version different to yours slammer. If the MV player hadnt headbutted the reynella player it wouldnt have happened. Said player didnt know he was bleeding. Maybe put the whole story in your post Slammer.

How exactly did the player not know he was bleeding when he was being sent off at the time with the blood rule?

I suggest we let the tribunal sort this out.

Interesting.... Wiping your face on your opponents is a different way of defending yourself that I have yet to witness, will need to look further into what damage this could cause and it's effectiveness. Must be something new age that I have missed?

A rather interesting tactic indeed

If the Reynella player didn't know he was bleeding then what did he think he was wiping on his opponents face?

My mail has them about to land a very well credentialed recruit, even though weekly player payments are already high, they are willing to do what ever it takes to land this one.......

Any chance this is recently retired Norwood & Ex-AFL player, whose 2 brothers are both playing at the Valley?

Here's a clue for those playing at home:

ImageImage

Will he quit Happy Valley as well if they drop him to the B grade???

A few months back a mate of mine from Valley was saying they were rumoured to be in contact with former Crow (sorry lads, cant come up with a pictionary style visual hint like above) Ben Marsh about playing a few games for the Vikings... could it be him Petoe is referring to if not the flying Egg?

Dissapointing to hear about May's broken leg - and even more disappointing to read about Mister Footy's lack of faith in the ROID!

Mate ask anyone who was there - not one of Pomma's best days
He may bounce back but given that there is pressure for spots in the A's it is going be a big call to put a bloke that isnt training and only available every 3 weeks in when there are deserving blokes playing in the B's. This call is made harder when it is Pomma's we are talking about.

On another point,
Interesting the rumour circulating that no players went to the Noarlunga rooms after they beat the Bombers, only to be refuted immediately by ShoeBoy. People will always believe what they want to. Was there upset players, yes, but what would you expect after that performance...Shoes deserve the credit though, were prepared and got the job done, well done.

So should the rumour have been that only 3 players weren't sooking enough to go in for a beer with the opposition???

Hey Zooman i'm on your side mate. Our coach made a point at every single game that everyone was required to go in to the Clubrooms for a beer/softy with the opposition to help support football.
I guess they didn't want to go in with their mascara all down their cheeks!!!

I was only saying that the issue was that no players went in, this was incorrect as some players and the coach did go in. I agree that this is not right and that win or lose, this is something that is accepted as good sportsmanship. Don't want all players, however, tarred with the same brush. I would hope that Sam addressed this with his playing group this week.

I would think sam will be addressing the loss not whether his team went in for a f***ing beer after the game.

Rnd 3 tips:

Brighton v Morphy Park - Bombers by 6 goals
Christies v Reynella - Could be an extremely close one.. Saints definitely the inform side, but yet to play anyone decent.. So the Wineys just
E/Town v Marion - Towns by 10 goals
Hackam v F/Hill - Flaggies by 20 goals
Valley v Cove - Another one that has the making to be a tight contest.. Backing the Vikings at home by 4 goals
M/Vale v Aldinga - All the best to the sharks this weekend, will be very hard taking the field after a tough week, thoughts go out to the entire club.. Emus by 20 goals
Porties v OSB Lon - Porties by 200 points

Christies v Reynella - Reynella by 18 points
E/Town v Marion - Towns easy
Hackam v F/Hill - Bushpigs by plenty
Valley v Cove - Valley by 40 points
M/Vale v Aldinga - Emotion won't be enough, MV by 80 points
Porties v OSB Lon - Port, should invoke the mercy rule, but will be at least 150 points

Match of the round for mine will be Christies vs Reynella, will really show where both sides are at. Would have been Valley vs Cove, but don't think that Cove present the same threat and from all reports HV have improved this year.
