Marion has thrown alot of cash at a few riverland lads playing at low saafl divs last year. surely this is a waste of money do the rams tend to do this every year ?

Anyone got a score for the Morphies v Aldinga game? Sportingpulse hasn't updated yet.

Massive win - with Cove and Reynella likely to drop out of the four (IMO) who are the two to take their spots? Valley and Flaggies?

Yep a draw at Christies Beach in a very ugly game of football. I rocked up at half time & Christies were a few goals up. Christies had a shot for goal 30m out after the siren & sprayed it to miss everything. IMO Reynella used up their 'Get Out of Jail Free' card and should be happy they still got a premiership point

Yep i agree...pretty one sided umpiring display imo..not taking anythinng away from christies who played very well in patches.
But oh the umpiring! How many times Middleton was hit in the head with no free kick was amazing to watch.
Maybe umps looking after their former brother ;)

I definetly watched the WHOLE game but according to your previous post you rocked up at half time :? . And some Christies mates said they got a pretty fair run, hence my post.
Felt for the bloke missing everything from 30 out kicking with the wind just before the final siren. Poor bugger!

Went out to my first C grade game today - Morphett Vale v Aldinga - and really enjoyed it. It was lovely to be able to sit back and watch the footy without all the pressure - aye, Aldinga A grade may not be able to win them all, but fair dinkum you get on the edge of your seat if they're not making the score you anticipated. Today was more social, and more relaxing. And a special thanks goes to the bloke behind the bar at Morphies today who gave me milk for my son's bottle at no charge - you saved me big time. :) This is the first time Dingy have had a C grade side and I thought they were very competitive. I look forward to watching more of the same!

Cove in big trouble. Gabb to the mines for work ?

Noticed Tyron Bennett from Morphies has put in a clearance to the Mallee comp. Big loss if he leaves I'd say.

Cove did get 1 senior team win yesterday over Valleys with our C grade forfeiting

Seems the new C grade coach couldnt get a team together - players not available or just dont want to play for him?

This is also the guy that walked out on the 18s last year when they couldnt make finals - he is a laughing stock of the club and why they gave him the C grade job is beyond me

I hear last night a longterm C grader and club legend made a few calls on Saturday and had 20 blokes ready to play - think they should give him the job

So if there were 20 blokes ready to play, why did you need to forfeit?
The thing with C grade is its easy to get people to say they are playing, but getting them to actually rock up is a completely different story

Massive has actually moved to Pinnaroo as his missus got a job at the school up there. The great man was toying with the idea of driving back here to play in our key games but in the end made the fairly understandable decision to make a go of it up there and play footy. Certainly hoping the Chook Man will be back in a black and red jersey soon tho!

Also heard that Norm Smith medalist Lincoln Sharpe has left Brighton and followed Reid Beeching to Port Districts? He didnt know at 3/4s of his team mates names last year, but can certainly play the game as noted in the GF.

Ventured down to Brighton oval on saturday arvo, not a good day for the spray tans a few of the boys were a bit concerned that the tan may have run. It looks like the fashion this year SAfootyneter's is jeans rolled up halfway up your calf with thongs and a flanny:)

Felt sorry for the goal umpires at the northern end with the doof doof music playing loud and clear.
