I used to think the same, but have since learnt that Motlop and McLeod aren't costing Meningie, anywhere near as much as I thought they were.

Still, I do have my doubts over Motlop as a coach, although his big attribute is his ability to seemingly draw recruits to the club.

well if they aren't wasting money then they are waisting points which could be used on players that actually want to play football and not be show ponies.

How did Mannum's kids play today, I hear Bowles in the ruck did well.

Pick of the young lads for me were O'Malley and Hermann. Bowles did some good things. Hales and Tonks both move very well and look like players, but were a bit quieter. It was the old dogs again for me that stood up. Hally with some memorable goals, Harvey all day and Mueller, just simply a gun!

spot on bazza, harvey was BOG for me, he was everywhere and did the hard stuff, the guy is alot stronger than he looks and is a great team leader. Bowles was ok but I think he just needs to work a bit harder, seems to get lost out there and you always hear teammates telling him where to go. Rhys Bullard was pretty good too. Hales and tonkes were definitely quieter, hales seems to be getting doubled teamed a bit since his first week 7 goal haul but when you have the likes of chris hall slotting them through you can't complain. the next three weeks will now show us where mannum are at, can't wait to see mypo v mannum .

If the league was so interested in promoting the local competition with ex AFL stars, maybe they could get the results in the Sunday Mail, i was keen to read how McLeod and Motlop went, it's also not updated on sporting pulse.

Agreed Anzac. Motlop looked like he was auditioning for Dancing with the Stars the way he was prancing around!

Not sure if Motlop will be fit for next week, done a groin in the last letting a barrel go from defence after being well held by Thomas and co.
Meningie will do some damage during the year, but the much anticipated match up of Brunolli and Jack Turner for the Meningie body sculpturing competition was a non event after Turner was held up at the solarium.
Hales plays well and Adam Goodes like, also shows more chin than a chinese phone book.
While Hall may have firmly placed one hand on the medal, with a possible 9 votes thus far.
Any result from last nights game?

if that is the barrel that went almost to centre square then no wonder he has a sore groin that was a huge kick

Imperials were never troubled by Jervois. The final margin was around 8 goals. Ladhams may be able to play but if his three quarter time address is a measure of his coaching he has a long way to go in this area. He swore more times than the average man would in a life time but really said nothing. Not a good look and does not present a very good standard for his club. Imperials will be top 3 and Jervois playing for 5th spot at best.

Quite often, the SM would only have what was updated on Sporting Pulse the previous night anyway, so it wouldn't have made much difference as far as viewing the extra results.

I do agree though its pretty poor RMFL results haven't appeared once in SM after 3 rounds.

the results for the two rmfl games yesterday were both on sportingpulse as of 6 pm last night, so there isn't really any excuse why they aren't in the paper

Yeah, what I'm saying is if results were in paper they probably would have been an exact replica of Sporting Pulse, and there wouldn't, for example, be any goalkickers or best players listed for Meningie.

I think the RMFL actually needs to set some standards and requirements that need to be reached as far as Sporting Pulse is concerned.

Its now nearly 24 since the Imps/Jervois game finished, and still no results up.

Nothing has been updated since about 5.45 lat night, so no further details on Meningie/Mannum game. That's pretty poor.

Combined with lack of results in SM, people who follow the results in this League deserve better.

Got my mail from Marion shopping centre and no results either
Also, when you go to the main sporting pulse site, you can navigate to any league, but when going to the RMFL site it still shows 2011 finals series.
Otherwise need to search 2012 RMFL sporting pulse separately.

Yeah it is poor, although this link will take you to 2012 season, although it is still difficult to navigate the way RMFL Sporting Pulse is set up:

I can answer the questions about Sporting Pulse and the Sunday Mail. Each home Club is responsible for updating sporting pulse on match day, so Imperials need to update from Saturday night, not the RMFL. The results in the Sunday Mail need to be in Sporting Pulse by 5-45 pm on match day, and an automatic email goes to the SM, so if clubs dont get results in, then SM is not updated. Clubs can put results in any time of the day, so the juniors and reserves can be put in early to make their lives easier, but a lot dont do it and leave it all to the last minute. The RMFL also need to take responsibility and make the clubs get their act together, but sadly they have no interest in this, they think they have more important issues, they also need computer people to update the very poor website.

Its probably too early for me to say this, but it does look as though Imps, Ramblers, Mannum and Mypo are playing for the top 3 positions. The other 3 clubs competing for 5th, although in reality Tailem given recent player losses perhaps likely to struggle, leaving Meningie and Jervois most likely battling for the last finals spot.

That's how it appears now anyway, obviously if new recruits come in, and there are serious injuries to any key players throughout the league, that could change things as the season progresses.

That's a good post INCOGNITO. I agree its the clubs' responsibility, and I also reckon given clubs aren't doing what they should be, then the League may need to look at the way things are done, or at least put pressure on the clubs to improve.

Witnessed a pretty amazing game at Tailem yesterday. From memory, we led at half time by around 7 goal, trailed at 3/4 time and ended up winning by around 8 goal. Sure there was a slight breeze but not a 8 goal breeze.

Tailem looked quite good at times and I'm wondering if all the BS has helped them bond a bit. No love boys but a bit of talk about a massive recruit or two
