I will also comment on Ingle Farm in the fact they played a great 1st 1/4 they were all over us running in numbers, running back, great spread and doing all the 1 percenters and carried that over in to the 2nd term but after half time gee i really did feel for Knowlesy. His a fantastic guy (as is his runner who's name escapes me ATM) who both are doing everything they can to take IF in the right directaion and they were let down BIG time in the second half.

Some huge undisciplined acts at really important times to turn the game Central Uniteds way. It must be said that in reply CU also had a couple do some stupid things but i just really felt for the coaching staff as i believe they are on the right track with IF but just a couple of bad eggs (No need to name names) could unfourtinatly bring it all undone. I sincerly hope not for Knowlesy sake as i said i now have a greater respect for the man.

I think they will get that first up win soon and i wish them all the best.

Look a win is a win and at the first whistle being 0 and 3 I'll take it of course but our first half was terrible 4 goal down at the 1/4 time and i think nearly 3 down at half time. This being said at half time a few blokes got it put on them in no uncertain terms and to the boys credit played a fantastic 3rd term against the breeze to be i think nearly 5 goal up at 3 1/4 time. Then in the last we went on with it to win by the 51 point margin.

Like i said great for the group to get the win but we must play 4 1/4's from a club point of veiw what a huge differance having personnel available makes hopfully now a lot less changes from week to week and we as a group can start to gel [-o<

you better believe it mate! cant wait to get back amongst it very shortly ;)

I would love you back this week mate but I'll have to settle for the week after :)

Woody South hit their straps today against Trinity who were more than competitive. In the end, too many options for the Cats with Stubberfield, Sparks and McNeil all up forward. They were serviced well by Rayner, Hosie, Skewes & Ahmad all day, plus with Shreeve & Clifford down back a little too much class.

Time for some consistency now from the lads at the Cattery!

Looks to be a big win by the Lakers. Are they that good or did Houghton play poorly?

Without wanting to sound like a sore loser, the umpires were DISGRACEFULL!! Infact they were that bad I was thinking late in the 2nd quarter that a massive all in brawl was going to break out, and there was not going to be a thing they were going to do about it. Ticky tac free kicks, inconsistency and NO authority on the field..

Having said that United were good after half time, as for my criticism of the farm ill keep that to myself..

Went down to Mawson Lakes v Houghton yesterday to watch the game and jeez did mawson lakes put on a clinic, they ran in numbers there crumbers where at the fall of the ball. and tackling all day long. Not sure if houghton have many outs but are lacking big time in there midfield lack of quality runners really hurt them yesterday there big men tried well but without quality midfielders getting the ball into there forward line didn't help there cause!
He shoots he scores!!!!!

Mawson Lakes very, very good. Set the game up in the first quarter kicking ten goals to our one goal, caught us napping. Too many passengers for us yesterday.

Yes,they have a good record with fast starts, we found that out last season. Hard to stop when they get a good break on you. Always next week Q, thats the great thing about our game.

for once i agree with you phantom, the older umpire is so incompetent that players from both side were getting that frustrated, but i said the same last year and named him (ken down) wouldnt let him umpire our u/11's , it was just good luck there was no all in ..

Went and watched the Mawson Lakes v Houghton game yesterday and have to agree what was written a few pages back about the Houghton B grade umpire. This bloke is a fair dinkum disgrace, very ordinary ump and don't expect a free kick from this bloke .

I reckon he gave Kells 8 of his 10 goals from free kicks so couldn't have been that bad :p

Most of the bad calls the umps make are when they can't keep up and they make judgement call from 50 meters away. The better umps get in the right position to make a call without guessing

How the great Greg 'Mad Dog' Kells is even left out of the A Grade side is a disgrace. The man the legend, the man known for 'Kellsology' out at Geoff Riddle Reserve would and should be a walk up start to the senior side. The maestro coach Riddle has finally made a blunder, not having the great man in the side. We all know the Riddler, does not make mistakes, but this is probably his one and only for the season. Even great coaches like the maestro coach make mistakes and he will have Kells in the A Grade this week.

Kells should be up in the forward lines. 10 goals from the great man yesterday and 5 the week before. Riddle, just has to pick him in the A Grade, or there will be 9 other clubs in the competition offering huge sums to the legendary forward to move camp.
