Can anyone provide any insight into Jervois and their poor start? I thought they would've been boosted by Coulters return and Ladhams seems to be doing his part with some goals but it's just not happening on the score board.

I'm pretty sure Coulter has been out injured.

Named on the team list on Saturday's loss.

Coulter came back two weeks ago from his initial injury against Tailem Bend (kicking four goals) and reports are that he was injured yet again against Mypolonga last weekend with a broken hand/wrist. If true, what a shocking run of injuries. He is such good player and important to the Bluds.

Its my understanding that Tailem are going to hold them for the Year! Good on them. Someone has to stand up to these blokes (not just the loves) and say "if your going to pull out on us, then miss out on you match payments for the whole year as your not playing for us, or anyone else" Maybe they will think twice about trying to hold their next club to ransom next time, as $700 a week goes a long way.

I think Mypolonga v Imps game might be very close.
The only game Mypo have lost so far was to Mannum, & they had Jones, Eckermann, Shar & O'Conner out, yet still managed to win 2 1/4's that day (although being soundly beaten)
They beat Meningie with their Strongest list possible ie: McLoed, Motlop, Ware, Orr, Brunoli & Cunneen all played, they thrashed Jervois last week, and took care of Tailem before the mass evacuation.
Imps by 2 points

Mannum v Ramblers: Ramblers would be hugely disappointed with their effort on Saturday, and without taking too much away from Meningie, looked as if they thought they had won it before the game started. If it wasn't for Liam O'neil, Matt Altmann & Joel Kay, I think they would have got beaten as the Kids had a day off. Mannum are still the best team I have seen to this point, but do rely heavily on winning the middle.
Mannum by 14 points

Meningie v Tailem: Meningie will win this, but they would want to get someone to do the job on Wark, as he will rip you to shreds if you think you will win the game anyway.

Hows Mark Meuller going at Mannum. Has he had a quieter year than last year on the field. Nice skills.

Markie flies like a butterfly and stings like a bee. Mueller’s opponents sleep with the light on for the next week and start to believe in the boogey monster again.

He has been a little quiet the last couple of weeks after a huge start to the season. With the kids now up and about, I think all the old dogs will return to the 1st 3 games form which was unstoppable.

as for imperials not much is being said , everyone is sitting back and enjoying the win over Mannum. I was there and the when the game was up for grabs Imperials took it, But Mannum didnt want it . Mannum will need to improve if they even want to make finals . All the talk on this site seems to be about Mannum, get over it boys you have a long long way to go to get to the standard of Imperials , my pick this week is Ramblers over Mannum by 6 goals , it should be the game of the round but it wont be.

I would suggest the amount of talk regarding Mannum is due to interest. Quite simple logic for one to conjure. As for game of the round, I believe it will be Meningie v Tailem. If Meningie start to fall behind, expect a bloodbath. If they lose this, their season is in complete tatters. Their form last week indicates a possible turn around and Tailem coming off the bye will be vulnerable early. Essentially if you shut down Wark, you win the game.

Fair enough Bazza my view only . I agree Meningie and Tailem will be be or should be a highlight of the round . I think all Mannum did last week was to push Imperials to yet another level of great country footy . Imperials are also too well coached for any other team and its great that the magnificant one COLLO, is the association coach this year he is certainly a step ahead of the rest. Its true however that Tony Fielke deserves a lot of credit as Collo did land on his feet with that team and doesnt have to do a lot for his money. I see hally from Mannum is his side kick this year not sure if he can add a great deal but im happy with the appointment hopefully he will learn something to take back to Mannum ??? Some of the young ones there Tonkes boles and hale in particular need a lesson ??? Dalwoods write up had a bit of a crack at them and deservedly so.

Cant believe your an Imps supporter used to be, as ive never heard anyone at the club talk the crap you are.I assume your just stiring on behalf of some other club!
Like most supporters i think its a pretty even comp this year and if you dont turn up with your A game you will be embarressed, just like Imps were the first game against Ramblers.
I can still remember last year when Meninie flogged us at home.
Again i think injuries will be crucial and you will need your best players on the field to win come finals time.

Watcher , thats not very fair i am a long serving Imps supporter and just telling the truth , my whole point is as i stated in my first post was to at least have imps name mentioned occasionally instead of the constatant bannging on from Hazel and co about a very over rated team in Mannum , Mannum arnt the only ones Tailem and especially Meningie seem to have some thing said about them constantly , there is nothing crap about being a imperial supporter . and another thing Watcher what was crap in that post. ??
