again Im just trying to give an objective point of view...please please tell me what I have said that is incorrect? I beg you :?

FWIW I was happy you beat Port, as a Glenelg fan nothing gives me greater pleasure than to see the Magpies lose...
Think those are the sentiments of fans from 7 other clubs

Its amazing how many Sturt fans are on the bandwagon, posts about Sturt have jumped 10 fold on this site...all I can say is early season form can be very very misleading long term (i bloody hope so anyway!)....lets have a reality check...they have beaten 4th, 6th & 9th from last year, good effort but no world beaters and none by convincing margins...

You never cease to amaze me with your post's dutchy.

I am pretty convinced we could go undefeated this season and you would still find a way to be exceedingly negative. There is a tongue in cheek saying out Unley way that there are two types of supporters, Sturt supporters and those that wish they were......

You could be one such supporter champ.

Lighten up a little hey? Green is definitely not your colour.

You take what you want, even last week I was complimentary of Sturts win, I didnt realise you just want a rose coloured, pat each other on the back, how good are Sturt type of discussion....if thats what you want Im out of here and this site would be very very boring...is anything I posted above incorrect?

Incorrect, no. Irrelevant, yes. Before the season started experts like yourself had Sturt finishing on the bottom of the ladder. I wonder if you still believe this will happen.

The way our 3 wins from 3 games must be looked at is not that we beat the 9th, 6th and 4th placed teams from last year. You look at it is that we have won 1 game at home against you know who and 2 games away from home. Especially the last game the manner it was done gives a team confidence that they are capable of winning in any situation and I wonder how many other teams will port at alberton this year.

Your arguement also fails about who we beat purely on the basis that if Sturt hypothetically were to beat glenelg  in the gf this year, will you come out and say you only beat the 6th team from last season. Good one.

In fairness to your arguement, I use the same logic with port fans when their team has beaten glenelg in grand final after grand final - telling them you only beat glenelg.

Again you are missing the point, when I say experts like yourself, I was referring to your credibility. You read it that I am accusing you of saying we finish bottom again you are lost, I was pointing out that rubbish from you is up there with the best of them. Just read it again and see if you get it

very true, no world beaters at the moment, but i think the margin of victory is irrelevant when you consider how the victorys were gotten. Last year we would have folded in 2 of those games but rick has instilled some discipline and hard work that was missing last year.

When you play this way, wins will come, its just that this style of play needs to be played for 4 qtrs and thats something rick has to have the boys do!!!

as we said, vastly improved but short of 'real deal' status.

PS: The sturt bandwagon is rolling along nicely, but i think the bays one has shed some weight ;)

As if coming from five goals down in the last at Alberton is not good enough hey Jimbob?

Sure, as our good mate dutchy has pointed out, Port ONLY finished fourth last year but last week the pundits, some media and many on here were framing them as one of the flag favourites!

Go you mighty blue boys!

mate, i cant wait for the dvd of the game....im going to go ballistic at the final siren even a week after the event :) 5 goals down and we win....at that swamp hill....cant get any better :)

Jim

It was amazing - I had goose bumps on my goose bumps !!!

Here, here, at the final siren there was a group of 3 of us & we all jumped in the air simultaneously :P :P :P

It was great. The felling I got was simialar to when beat West to break our long loosing run (one season plus).
:P :P :P :P :P

Mathematically he is wrong, since any mathematician worth his salt would account for the likelihood of winning future games.

When you say the real deal, we are a very fit and a positive unit. We have talent in the squad and will remain competitive for the rest of the season. We will lose games throughout the year, but wont be the bottom team so many have predicted. Sturt supporters will get a strong effort from their team throughout the season. If that is the real deal, then yes that is us. If you are asking whether we will win the flag, that is impossible to say. The flag will probably come from either centrals, port, eagles or north - but we are every chance to make the finals and from there.........who knows?

Sorry Pseudo, mathematically, he is right. As long as there are enough games left that all the teams below Sturt can accumulate more points than Sturt have now, Sturt can still finish bottom. Not being pedantic, could do the the maths to prove it but can't be ar5ed

good post sturt1 but despite who makes up the final 5 at the end of the minor round, there will be only one winner (again) and it ain't either of the sides we follow with your side less likely than any of the other "contenders".

Clearly it will be the dogs unless they get a sudden loss of memory on how to win or suffer around 22 injuries to their best 22 which they haven't even got on the park yet which is even more frightening to the other 8 teams.
