a bit like a bed pan, quite a wasteful day for BOS!

CLG impressive. ran hard, used the ball and their team mates very well and manned up extremely well when they did not have the ball. got the jump in the second quarter kicking 6 goals to 1 and it was too hard to peg it back. did get back to 10 points in the last with 10 or so minutes to go but CLG steadied.

a few of BOS' better players struggled to get into the game. gotta stop worrying about umpiring decisions and be a bit smarter.

just one of those days i think but kudos to CLG, well played them.

Good to hear some other clubs have good ones.

As for bad, saw the very worst possible in D6R at Rowe Park yesterday.

Did not quite make the difference between winning and losing, but the Trinity club umpire is a deadset %&@(^!& CHEAT. To hear that their coach hates him and so does the club as a whole, it amazes me how he can CHEAT so obviously one-sidedly. There would have been at least a dozen frees he paid which went 'the wrong way'.

And then the final straw - in a game which was very tight in the last 1/4 and Ingle Farm on a bit of a roll, Trinity got a quick break from our forward line and raced it down to score a goal. The goalkicker, being a real hero, then ran at, and charged our full back as the ball was on it's way back to the middle. What did the little CHEAT do? - awarded Trinity another shot at goal !!!

To hear from Trinity themselves that other clubs have said the same thing, we have to get rid of this CHEAT.

Report will be lodged with SAAFL tomorrow asking for his removal from the position.

Sounds like sour grapes xrunner, didnt you go down by 10 goals, one free kick wont win you a game. People in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones mate :-@

No sour grapes, and FYI know all - it was under 5 goals and read the post properly before you make half-arsed comments. Come on, man up and get it off your chest - people in glass houses, explain........

good wrap sprint..on the small oval there was a lot of tight contests and congestion which led to 55 frees for the game..hounds were always going to come back hard at some stage like a good side does..but we managed to close it out and gain some more confidence..top 3 with a 2+ game break now..

Not that "c" grade umprire with the 1970's mullet. :  ;)

"The Lockleys Mullet" was in action last week at Kingswood Oval, still a better performance than those that blow the whistle in D4 week in week out and truly one of Life's Gentleman.

They don't mak'em like that anymore ;)

Yep sure does look like Big Ivan's Dad ;) Lockley's B grade umpire is good too.

McNiel hurt his knee early and wasn't seen again. Rayner was good at the stoppages but had his influence slightly curbed by a tag, twisted his ankle during the last quarter and was iced up. Stubberfield very well held by Matty Newton. Ahmed was very influential. Clifford didn't get much of it in defence, but went forward in the last and kicked a couple of important goals. Overall, they are a good side, but certainly not the invincibles they were talked up to be and aren't a patch on Kenilworth of last year.

Lowlight for the day was having to hear their players and supporters abuse one of players who was being stretchered off, but I guess you get get that sometimes :?

I agree some of our supporters didn't cover themselves in glory on Saturday, Q. As for players abusing him, can't say I heard that. In fact a couple of our boys went over as they were carrying him off and wished him the best.

It was a good game of footy with both teams crashing in hard and some great 1 on 1 contests all over the ground. The game was over-umpired which made it tough for either side to gain any momentum. Davis destroyed us and was easily the best player on the ground for mine.

I will explain the situation on Saturday at Ingle Farm. I wasn't going to comment on it, but considering people will make judgements on the club as a WHOLE, I believe it's only fair that everyone be given a full account of what happened. I understand it will not change some people's opinions, and may infact give others a more negative view of IFFC but unfortunately that is the way it is and it will be up to the club and the people involved to rectify that image..

This will be some what of a small novel so bare with me..

During the game Saturday, an Ingle Farm player became involved in a wrestle on the ground with a TOS player near the boundary closest to the club rooms in front of the spectators and benches.
At some point during this skirmish, the Ingle Farm player appeared to strike the TOS player in the head and tried to kick him in the head. A number of TOS players then came running over to intervene obviously quite irate as you would be. L. Sandercock from Ingle Farm did the best he could to break it up and diffuse the situation, and coach Wayne Knowles brought the player off the ground straight away. The players on the field then began to dissipate and continue the game.

During this time, the Ingle Farm players father made his was down to the TOS bench and began to abuse them, and pushed one of the people involved with TOS. The father was clearly under the influence - of what I do not know.
A few Ingle Farm people then went to intervene and remove the father, he then in his aggressive state turned on them and adopted a "me vs the world" mentality. He was grabbed from behind and pulled away, continuing to display very aggressive behaviour. It wasn't until his son and nephew intervened that he relaxed some what.

The game finished a few minutes later, players shook hands and the Ingle Farm side were grouped on the oval at this stage, clearly disappointed and upset with the way the game played out.

The Ingle Farm player did not bother coming on to shake hands or come onto the oval to console with his team mates, instead electing to walk straight off and have a laugh to mates about his actions.

Ingle Farms runner Bill Collins told the player to get down with the team, and be part of the team instead of just walking off. Words were exchanged with the player not adhering to the direction of the assistant coach.

They had a bit of a heated exchange of words over his selfish attitude and Collins told him in no uncertain terms to "**** off from the club, we don't want people with that attitude etc"

That fired his father up again who began to abuse Collins for cursing at his son and then came at him, grabbing his shirt and trying to fight him. The were broken apart by a couple of players and Collins made his way to the change room whilst the father continued his abuse and aggressive nature.

Collins entered the change rooms, and the father was close behind trying to make his way inside. He was stopped by a number of Ingle Farm supporters from going in. He then began to threaten anyone who looked at him and continued to fight his way in declaring he was going in to get his son.

His son came out and joined the chorus of abusing the Ingle Farmers and defending his father along with his cousins, declared he was leaving the club to go play for money. His father began using threats of bikies and killing people.

Wayne Knowles got all the players inside the change rooms, as a player I too was in there and the rest I have been told from my brother who was standing very close by. Inside the change rooms for a few minutes we could hear yelling and crashing/smashing sounds.

My brother told me later that the father ran around the side of the club and grabbed a number of empty beer bottles, and began to approach one of the spectators at the game, he threw one bottle and it smashed on the ground, glass rebounded up and got in the eye of the wife of one of our A grade players. The other spectator then produced a knife and swiped at the father, just missing my brother who was standing off to the side.

They then grabbed chairs to try and bash each other with. It took the intervention of R. Ewen to grab the father from behind and drag him away to break the situation up. I believe the spectator then foolishly began to follow the father and his family as they were leaving and it was nearly on again.

Police were called and the father and family left.
