A PM has been sent to him and if he doesn't get his shite in one sock it'll be Pop goes the weasel.
There goes that bit of fun. Understood though

That wouldnt surprise me - CLG have an average age of 22 in there A grade which is quite amazing in Div 6. They recruited good young quality players to an already quality bunch with the view of a long and succesful future. A number of these lads could play at a lot higher level but love the professionalism and social side to a club that has one of the best facilities in Amatuer league. Training sunday was exactly what they needed to get there attitude where it should be. When they get used to each other they will be a very very good side.Gatt_Weasel wrote:Phantom Gossiper wrote:Jetters wrote:Sunday morning training at div 6 (or any amateur league grade) is pretty harsh.
I'm seriously getting sick of the amount of people who say "Its just div 6". Yeah it is Div 6, but the fact remains there are A grade sides in this competition, and A grade sides exist to win premierships and move up through the grades. At some point in time a club must decide how serious they want to be, and as they go up through the grades that professional expectation will increase.
Play Div 6 but treat it like Div 1 in my opinion.
Besides Jetters, all it takes is a couple of good years from CLG and a couple of ordinary years from Unley and you could be facing off against each other..
why rate div 6 only washed ups and could of beens in that league all the guns at lower divisions

He is a disgrace both physically and as an umpire in general. He shouldnt be allowed on the ground in that condition. Was totally oblivious to players getting belted behind the play too.

We had an umpire who literally could not throw the ball up for a centre bounce above his head, i'm not kidding you either no exaggeration. On a couple of other times when he did muster up the energy he threw it over both ruckmans heads out of the circle into the arms of a Uni onballer who ran it out & kicked a goal, probably the easiest thing to do as an umpire isn't it? Was good times on Saturday, if you don't laugh you cry

Some clubs choose to pay, some don't. Some clubs have 4 senior sides others have 1 who gives a flying f***! End of the day we all have a passion and there is a reason why we have a promotion/relegation system.
Fwiw the gap from the top divs to the lowest of divs has narrowed in the years I have played and div 6 is a respectable standard.
To quote Andrew Gaze "Turn it up"!
