The Brighton player in question got a fair hearing and got 2 matches. This is another reason why the SFL should publish all tribunal outcomes every Wednesday.

Fair?? Don't think the player who got knocked out would call 2 matches fair!!

There is absolutely no place for this sort of stuff in our game and handing down these sort of soft penalties at an amateur level is very dangerous..

I can understand the Flaggy posters feeling a little bit unfairly treated, especially if one of their players copped 8 matches (a just penalty) for a similar incident.

Fair effort then to win.
Just noticed Brighton play Happy Valley on the 22nd of June on a Friday night, is that the launch of the new lights down there or did I miss that?
Should be a cracker game and it's great for them to put it on a Friday night so other teams can come and watch it!
I think it's a good concept for teams to play on other times and days than just saturday arvo's to bring in better crowds.

Lights were done last year. This should be a good match up, but I think Valley are looking better than the Bombers at the moment and on current form should win comfortably. Hope there's not much rain between then and now, so it can be a great contest on a good surface.

I wouldn't be too worried about some random's comments on a forum, Panther. Probably still p*ssed off that you tore Brighton a new one in the GF the other year and is trying to make himself feel better by picking on your weird, balding, spiky hairstyle and other things from behind his monitor. People wouldn't know just how well you fit in at RFC during your three years there unless they were actually part of the club themselves during that time. It will be good to have you back ;)

The hair plugs are definitely looking good, Panther!!!

Credit to the shoes tho they keep winning with our golding and would have to be clear favorites now. Saying that any of the top 6 probably think there best is better than the rest so it's going to be a good finish.

Maybe there is more to the Shoes than just "Kick It Long To Golding" after all......
Used 28 players through the A Grade this year, with 21 getting on the score sheet. Seem to be finding other avenues to goal.
Still think it is too early to be labelling favourites, no one cares about May / June..... Wait until August / September.... As you said BF, the top 6 are very even.

Good to see the shoes looking at other avenue's for goal, will just be a bonus when the big man returns. Looked like shoes continued recruiting, were there a few new faces out on the park on the weekend?

Yes Note Book - one new face out for the shoes on the weekend, fitted into the side nicely.
Shoes played with 4 points out of 12 on the weekend so plenty of room for more ;)

4 points?? geez thats not bad, some good players down there and to be able to walk away with that many points is a good effort. I wonder how some of the other clubs fair in this regard, it would be interesting to see if most clubs are at their maximum points allocations...

So what do we all think of the barbarians tag?

Does anyone think they can beat GSFL? Apparently only 2 training runs are planned. I'm not sure thats enough to get to know each other?

Gsfl is the same 2 trainings should be an interesting game if all players make themselves available, the gsfl squad is pretty solid but probably not as good as some might of thought, after playing half a side last year and getting smashed i hope the southern boys put together a good squad. I reckon the smaller oval in strath as opposed to hickenbotham should suit the southern league a little better as from watching games in both leagues southern league seems to be more in tight where as the gsfl seem to spread and move the footy quicker, hopefully its well attended as i wonder how many people will travel to strath to watch...
who ever thought of the saying winning isn't everything, probably lost!!

He did only play a handfull of games last year at Brighton but no doubt will be missed. I think the Vale are struggling with height & are trying to get Gasko out of retirement with his bad knees, next they'll be playing Hewitt straight out of j--l
heard Bayley out for 12 weeks with a broken ankle as well.
Vale on the decline!

You must have had his release date wrong!! Noticed a K Hewitt in MV's C grade on the weekend.

And for this weeks games....
A couple of games that should be entertaining. Flaggies v MV, can't see MV copping last week without some fight.
Bombers should account for Reynella, but always have to watch the buggers. Porties and Noarlunga match of the round. Would love to be in two places at once to watch that one as it should be a cracker.

Barbarian tag great I reckon, not sure where it came from though. think its good to give the team more of an Identity. Not much talk around about the association game though. Are people behind it? Who is playing.... Who will win..

Who is playing is a good question as it all seems top secret. I know Bennett, Fox and Pistilli are in the squad from Reynella but no idea about the rest of the squad.
Should be a fierce contest i would think.
