Arsenal could lose Robin van Persie and it won't make a scrap of difference. Arsene Wenger will just bank the £25m or whatever and find a more than worthy replacement on the continent for a fraction of the price.

The Gunners will once again start a season with genuine claims to the Title.

Whilst I'm not a fan of how Wenger largely ignores British footballers and whinges about the 'impurity' of long-ball tactics and hard tackles every time his team loses to a less illustrious side I'll admit that he is a genius at assembling wonderful teams without squandering money on exorbitant transfer fees. But in fairness to him there are not many British footballers that can play his style of game.

Expect another top-4 finish at the very least but a trophy of some description will be a prerequisite if Wenger is to extend his tenure into a 17th season.

dont disagree, but since 2007 he has sold world class players and then we have done nothing. He needs to keep the stars, and build on that. Its just the same thing, we get decent players, then they want out.

Stranger things have happened but cant see it happening.
Looking like a 2 horse race with Shiteh and the Chavs going toe to toe, United to trail by a fair bit unless some coin spent and the Arse along way back in 4th.
Chavs have signalled their intent spending £40m on Hazard and now probably £40m on Hulk and thats only the start, cant see Arsenal spending £40m total this season.

Im going
Shiteh 90-95
Chavski 90
United 80
Arsenal 65-70
We wont drop off much, will still win against most sides, just cant see Shiteh and Chavski losing too many.
Just cant see where your improvement will come from unless you spend.
Will review this after the end of the transfer period, 1 or 2 decent recruits to United or Arsenal could change my predictions

RVP has officially ruled out signing a contract extension citing the clubs lack of ambition and ability to win trophies.
He is contracted until the end of the season so the club must decide if they allow him to play this season and lose him on a free transfer at seasons end or try to cash in on him now.
Personally if someone didnt want to play at United id rather the club move them on and get some coin

Just saw it Jim, I agree get rid of him now and lets see what Poldoski and Grioud can do. He's been injured for majority of his 8 seasons. I don't think it's doom and gloom like majority of arsenal fans think if he goes

time to piss him off now, if he knows he is going at end of this season, where will his loyalty lie now even more so.

I think we sell him for whatever the amount, but not sure on what we will get as alot will be after him and offereing less knowing we have to sell as he is going offically.

After all the seasons we stuck with him through his injuries, and now this.....

Yes not all doom and gloom, pick up some decent money for him and use it.
Personally think Podolski will struggle in the EPL but Giroud will take the league by storm, wonderful player.

Spot on
Like it or not for some reason Arsenal has become basically a feeder club.
Not sure why but any player Arsenal bring through the ranks end up moving on, even Spurs hang onto their players longer.
Must be something pretty ordinary internally at the club, i cant understand it
