No it doesn't. I despise losing. North were crap, we were crappier but the umps were crappiest!!!

Well fester, if my team playing worse than your team means we win the tackle count, force your team to panic and look soft, then I will take a 1 point win every week.

Thank you Nathan, no motivation required next encounter.

Mal, whatever you post today doesn't change anyone's opinion of you or your football knowledge. So don't be concerned. No pm's necessary.

Very impressed with Gallman's game today. The guy is hard as nails.

The gayest thing I saw today was the "fans" with the gus bus, and I went to a gay night club.

P. S. There was no shots of " the spirit " on tv, so the gus bus wins by default.

Galman had one given against him in the goal square that should have gone to him for holding on................there you go, that's 1 all, happy now!

There were poor decisions all day that went against both sides, the umpiring was poor all day and made no difference to the result.

You could completey understand his frustration..north got 2 holding the balls in a row in front of goal 2 minutes before that (one was there one wasnt) his NOTHING, of course he was pissed.

still well done to North, good to see them up and about.

that loss will only fire up norwood.

If you only saw the last quarter you better watch the other 3 quarters - you might think differently. Bode was not paid a free for his tackle on Thiele, it was going to be a ball up but he got pinged for abusing the umpire. Personally I didn't think what he likely has said was worthy of a free. Given the frustration players and fans from both sides felt re the umpiring standard you can understand him querying the call with some emotion however regardless of what he said the umpires need to be better than that and not so precious in the late pressure and emotion of a tight game.

Part of Norwoods issues yesterday was that they were pushed wide by some good pressure and chasing by North for the majority of game and they looked much more dangerous when they went direct however Newton's kicking in particular let them down so I can see where the frustration the Nwd fans felt re chances and the easy misses. Although having said that North missed 3 easy shots in front in the last to put the game away.

It may have helped if Nwd if Jericho was playing as Warren was largely ineffective as another tall option as he was way too far up the ground to cause North any problems.

I thought Cachia was impressive (solid looking unit he is) after watching the replay and also Lanford looks a very likely type too. Terlich was also pretty impressive overall as well. Despite Currie dominating in the ruck, Nwd smashed North in the centre clearances however North was able to control the around the ground stoppages and the defense stood solid all game despite losing Ivens before halftime to a hammy and Gallman off for over a quarter.

On reflection I can't see Nwd losing any sleep over that loss so I am still at a loss to understand Bassett's comments at the end of the day?

I thought in the first half Norwood made their far too frequent mistake of moving the ball relatively quickly to wing/half forward, but were then God awful slow getting it into the forward 50.

Gallman, Thring and Ivens were all impressive .. Although sometimes I think we made their job easier than we should have.

Both North ruckmen were impressive and I'm not looking forward to seeing the hitout count .. Clarke battled hard, but was no match.

North have a very good blend of quality talls and onballers.

Correct call Ian. Umpiring was farcical. Umpiring is not up to the required standard because of a lack of talent I would suspect. Time to go back to two umpires because of this lack of talent, the result being a more consistent umpiring display.
Fantastic atmosphere in the Club Rooms after the game with the players lapping up the good spirit. Great win to the Roosters and a sense of belief in being able to match it with the best. Huge turn around from friday night a couple of months ago. Go THE ROOSTERS !!!

Well the world didnt end yesterday, the sun came up this morning and we are still 2 games clear on top and 3 games clear in the race for the double chance and we still have a game in hand of most sides.
Time for us to move on from yesterday and worry about next week. Need to hit the track hard and work on a few areas. Probably need a few changes next week, couple of guys not up to it
