Blessing in disguise not remembering to tweak my side each week. Plenty of trades for the bye weeks.

Stazza FC is sponsored by British Paints as he just keeps on keeping on but the big news in Division IV this week was the exceptional scoring of second ranked Ankles United who cleaned up Some Can't by six hundred points with a non bye week respectable 1958. As it was mentioned earlier in the thread, a Nutkickers ambush always seemed likely due to some slack early season trading and the unlucky side to cop his 1810 were Bubbles Blunderers who can consider themselves a little unlucky. Both teams on the end of these hidings find themselves outside the eight looking in after nine matches.

whufc got back in the ring and knocked out Hodges_Heros who suffered their first loss for a while. The hammers are keeping an eye on a top four spot but Big Al smashed FOOTYLEDGENS and got the percentage booster while whufc had the toughie. Overdrive has been steadily building in the last couple of weeks after going AWOL for a few rounds and he got an important win over Red Cans who have lost that winning feeling. Moe's onegameatatimers are right out of form and are now sitting just above the dreaded relegation zone with 15th ranked Hawkers likely to be the main threat.

That's not me mate. I'm the Cat Empire. I'm not in this one. You probably should have gotten a mention after winning such a high scoring game but Nutkickers and Ankles stole the show. My mate Andy will be spewing he lost that match - he's gone from promotion candidate to having to fight it out to make the eight.

The bye rounds and Bubbles Blunderers have gotten the better of Stazza this week and his nine game Hogg winning streak has come to an end. The impressive Ankles United had to fight off a competitive Carp Team to close the gap to one match at the top of the ladder and other top four sides Eckys and Big Al also recorded solid victories.

The Red Cans got back on the winners list in a big way recording a fine 2177 which knocked the stuffing out of Brodlach's Bombers...must be June heh heh. whufc had a shitter this week and that cost him his hard won advantage over Hodges Heroes who got the job done against struggling Onegameatatimers.

There was some movement in the relegation battle this round with FOOTYLEDGENS and particularly Hawkers showing some strong form during the bye period. The Hawkers cleaned up battling Kiwi Krappers and FOOTYLEDGENS had a suprising percentage booster against Northern Cats who have lost the plot. This is good news for Red Cans, Bubbles Blunderers and suprisingly Overdrive who have been winning matches in recent weeks.

For teams in the relegation zone Carp and Krappers look gone and Nutkickers copped one and Onegameatatimers have lost their way a bit also. Out of the bottom four the only team that might escape the drop would be Nutkickers and on recent form they would replace Northern Cats.

SuperCoaches across the land have been spewing about the bye period but I reckon Stazza would have been hurling harder than most. Prior to the bye period he was top of the Hogg and two games clear on top of the Division IV ladder. Life was good. Now he's lost his top ranking in the Hogg and now he logs on and sees that Ankles United is now on top of the Division IV ladder. All of a sudden this Division IV lark isn't so easy.

Other teams besides Ankles have stepped up as well. Big Al has been in punishing form for several weeks and he scored an important win over Stazza to stay in the top four. Eckys Fevolas and Hodges Heroes have also been very solid and these five sides will be the ones to watch for promotion and flag honours come August.

Red Cans continued with their recovery at the expense of whufc who has struggled during the bye period. That two game gap between 8th and 4th could be a tough one to bridge given the reasonably lopsided nature of this comp. Brodlach and Bubbles are keeping the heat on the Hammers but out of all the other teams it is perhaps only Nutkickers who can join the party late but only if the Giant stops Sleeping.

Moe will be having a celebrationary tonic after breaking his run of outs and climbing out of the relegation zone along with Nutkickers who did just that in a massive win over the Northern Cats who have lost the plot...so Nutkickers said here are a couple of Achers....[/Arnie Joke]. So it's bottom five in the poo and the top five looking the goods in Divvy IV in the run home to the finals...and I can hear Stazza singing from here as the bye period finally comes to an end.

It was a round of consolidation in Division IV this week as the top teams flexed their muscle and staked their claim for top four and top eight spots. Big Al had a near thing against relegation threatened Hawkers but got the job done by 22 points in a result that might have ramifications for both teams later on in the year. whufc's week of SuperCoach misery was compounded in this league as he got replaced in the top eight by Brodlach's Bombers are the Bombers won by over a hundred and moved to 7th spot on the ladder as a result.

In the relegation battle Some Can't and Nutkickers both registered important wins and now the Nutkickers are a finals chance after starting off the season in about round eight. Some of the bottom four teams managed to score a few more points than normal but despite improved performances the wins didn't come. The bottom two look gone but the LEDGENS and the Northern Cats are still a chance to avoid the drop.

Stazza is back on top of the ladder as Ankles' time as the leading team in Division IV has come to a close following their loss to Big Al's Big Boys. I reckon it's going to be a ripper of a finals series in this league with in form team Hodges_Heros and Red Cans unable to crack it for a top four place as yet. Stazza has been the standout all season and now that the bye period is over it's business as usual as he desposed of the battling FOOTYLEDGENS to take advantage of Ankles United's defeat.

Ecky's Fevs have been in ripping form for some time and they recorded a comfortable win against Bubbles Blunderers who slipped out of the top eight as Nutkickers smashed Brodlach's Bombers. Nutkickers really have been The Sleeping Giant in this comp and his late season comeback is something that he did last season as well. The Heroes that are Hodgeys gave the Kiwi Krappers an absolute bath and it's hard to see anyone taking the spoon off the Kiwi here. The bottom four is beginning to have a settled look although Overdrive remains a strong contender for relegation.

Ecky's Fevolas have got one foot inside the top four after securing a vital win this week against fellow top four contender Big Als Big Boys. Big Al scored well but Ecky racked up 2418 to give themselves a handy little buffer in second place - breathing right down ladder leader Stazza's neck. Big Al wasn't the only top four team to get done as Ankles United dropped a match to 14th ranked Northern Cats in something of a boilover. It wasn't all bad news for these two sides though as Hodges_Heros had their first loss for many weeks when they couldn't get the job done against Bubbles Blunderers who got back into the top eight after their fine victory.

Nutkickers came a cropper against ladder leader Stazza and now finds themselves back outside the top eight after forcing their way into the eight only last week. The Hawkers and Some Can't have strung a couple together lately and have moved back into finals contention but former frontrunner whufc has lost the plot as the hammers have become very point shy all of a sudden.

The Northern Cats victory ends a seven match losing streak and this puts the heat on Overdrive who lost to last placed Kiwi Krappers in a result that won't save the Kiwi but will probably condemn Overdrive.

Stazza has lost the lead in Division IV for the second time this season but I reckon this time he might not get it back. Big Als Big Boys and Ecky's Fevolas both look to be the better side with Big Al in particular having a decent record against his fellow Division IV title contenders. Big Al disposed of Hodges_Heroes who have copped a couple of losses in the run home and it now looks as though they have missed the double chance. Ecky went top after smashing the struggling Northern Cats and Stazza dropped to second after they were ambushed by Brodlach's Bombers.

Red Cans continued on their winning way after they belted the hapless Kiwi by over 500 points and Bubbles of Blue had a similar win to shore up the Blunderers spot in the top eight. The teams on seven wins are not out of the hunt just yet but I reckon the top eight might be already decided on this one as Some Can't, whufc and the fast finishing Hawkers haven't showed the consistency needed to overhall Bubbles Blunderers.

There was no change in the relegation zone but you'd think that Carp and the Kiwi are little chance of avoiding relegation now with just two matches to play and FOOTYLEDGENS is in deep diggery doo as well. Northern Cats and Onegameatatimers will be scanning the fixtures for the last two weeks to see if they can hold on or whether they'll be in yellow (i.e. Division V) next year.
