"country boy" there's always two sides to a story, and for everyone else some of your comments are simply not correct. The player in question from what I've seen is a good bloke and definately no mercenary but the fact is he signed a contract for 2012. Nairne has done nothing wrong so don't make them out to be the bad one. Why don't people today take responsibility for their actions, I just don't get it? Money has been paid for the games played, subs not paid and he still has a Guernsey from what I understand... If he really wants a clearance maybe sort this out in person with the Club. "Big Fella" yes three contracted players did leave the club prior to the season starting... Nothing sinister about it, two were young lads from Mildura who got home sick and shifted home after three months in the city, and the other changed his mind four days after signing a contract and well and truly before preseason officially started. Fielk's is doing a fantastic job with the playing group and we all look forward to further improvements throughout the Season.

I would think the players previous Club's offer of compensation would be enough to cover all of that and then some
The player has also already met with club officials

The player is currently doing running duties for his former Club and will do so for the rest of the year if required by Nairne
Tick tock as 30 June approaches

Nairne may well be the losers in all this, as they wont get the player back as well as missing out on being compensated

Does anyone here want to tip an upset come finals time? Echunga out in straight sets? Kersbrook to miss GF? Birdwood to play Nairne?

Also is it true that Kangarilla are stacking their B'Grade??

I believe Echunga will need a loss to someone if they are to win back to back (as a wake up call - although I think the close one out at Kersbrook shook them up a little). When they play their best football I honestly do not see anyone coming within 5 goals of them.

But This weekends game against Birdwood will be a good test to see where Birdwood are/will be (have they got some back now after their injuries at the start of the year?)

Meadows proved last year they can cause some upsets come finals time, and you dont want to be playing your best football this time of year, and fall short come September.

Hahaha Teams have stacked their B grade's for years if they do not look like they are going to make the A grade finals. Good luck to Kangy if that is what they are chasing!!!!

Birdwood will need to do some serious praying this week if they're going to beat Echunga. The Demons won't lose another game.

The last two comments are my point exactly...... Torrens Valley have gone through pretty much undefeated in the past and then lost the last game of the year (the one that counts). Against Kersbrook too. I would say it will be a Echunga Vs Kersbrook Grand Final and Echunga will need to be playing at their best to beat them.

As far as I know kangies are definitely not stacking their b grade on purpose.
The blokes that have been dropped back to b's are there because they are not pulling their weight in the a's.
Whether it be skills, courage etc.....
Coach kuhl is far too passionate about his footy to be trying stack the b grade.
The b grade at the Roos might get a celebrity stint from 'the big jumbo' in 2nd half of year. If the guernseys fit

Echunga are prob suited for Central Division in Seniors and they do have depth and are continually attracting quality footballers to the club. However If they move they do not have the Juniors/Numbers to be competative and would see thier junior teams cop a 20+ goal beating every week!.

Echunga u17s play Birdwood this week, then have a 'Bye' for the next 3 games

You can understand why some people at Echunga would be very keen to change divisions.

My feedback was that one club set to make an application (Echunga) is within a stone throw of neighbouring towns who have plenty of kids who are already missing out of footy and these towns are growing. The club also hopes to regain families that have gone to neighbouring central clubs for a better standard etc etc etc.

The other club already have a competent junior program.

it also shows why there needs to be 3 divisions, otherwise next year the mt lofty u17's will only be playing 1 game out of 3.

No so sure about that - EFC S/Colts played a trial game this year against a central club, on their dung heap, and while there was no official score.... the un-official score was pretty even. I am sure against the "top" clubs thet will get a touch up, but that hasn't stopped any club going to Central in the past!

Just saying there would want to be plenty of planning around the decision and make sure Player Contacts are secured before making the move! Last time Echunga went up a fair few A grade players moved on and made it a very tough year for them and went straight back down. And seeing as what happened at the start of this year, several local Echunga Players were targeted by other clubs (with large $$$$) i would say if these offers come again next year it would be hard to refuse!

I am not debating that for one moment.

My point was about the juniors being beaten by 20 goals + every week as you put it..... thought you may be interested in some facts.....just saying!

Let's put it in perspective, everyone can gets a say and thats what they seem to be asking people to do in their newsletter.
Which means these things will all get discussed.
1. Retain Player Group and recruit top ups
2. Put in place a genuine junior development program for junior coaches and players
3. Enjoy their footy which is what they seem to be doing....?

I have no problem with any of your points here champ, I was only pointing out to "Sorce", or should that be "Sauce" that his post regarding EFC juniors getting flogged every week was, perhaps "misguided".
