I would say Norsworthy had a booking for a spray tan and hair extensions, johnstone most probably completing his makeup course and River no doubt would have had commitments with his dancing class. All probably would have been handy Saturday by the looks of things, it's a pity that the salon and looking good comes first with these lads !! :D :D

You've got no idea you idiot! I can't speak on behalf of Norsworthy but Johnstone has stuffed his quad and hasn't played for over a month, and Rivers did his Hamstring the game prior to the association game. Was chirping at the bit too to play.

So get your facts right before you make comments like that. And for your information, not all players at brighton get spray tans and their hair dyed with peroxide! I beleive one of their players former/current was voted the 'whitest' player in the SFL for 6 years straight!

Who really cares what Brighton players do with their spare time or skin tone.

BB, I think you will find that Barry is a Brighton man and his comments would have been tongue in cheek.

They might not all be regulars to the tanning salons but Norsa definately has a life membership.

The salon owners certainly do. If the Brighton boys and WAG's stopped looking pretty, the entire Bay area would go into economic meltdown. Fortunately we can back it up on the field. Nothing like looking pretty and winning, Charlie Sheen has nothing on the Brighton boys.

got rocks in your heads blokes   goolwa or elliot or whoever they are would not beat the top sfl sides
1 win last year is just that 1 win, bottom maybe a handful of players would get a game in the top 8 sfl sides. :-@ :-@

jonno wrote: So if that's the case goolwa r a chance to beat sides like willunga and other tops sides on there day?

Whilst Goolwa only won one game last year, they pushed a lot of sides - it was hard to see how they didn't win more. This year they are sitting at 4 wins and 4 losses.

But yes is the answer to your question. eg Last game Victor lost to Langhorne Creek by 124 points (both sides were at 3 wins, 4 losses but Creek are hitting their straps after a slow start) and the previous week Victor beat Willunga by 10 points (Victor 2 wins, 4 losses and Willunga were undefeated). Myponga with 1 win for the year have been on the end of a couple of 100 point floggings but only lost to Encounter bay by 4 points a couple of weeks back too.

Lol strong knowledge!

Their chf has played association for SFL.
Their captain coach is a SFL premiership player.
I could name another 10 guys who could easily play Agrade in any SFL side.

My again the point is not a one-off game - we are saying that they have enough talent that if 'on' could possibly beat any side.

Whereas other teams will get beaten regardless of variables.

Saw Cove on weekend - 7 goal to zero opening quarter was impressive.
Rams actually got on top of play 2nd & 3rd quarter but then Cove woke up and kicked 5 unanswered goals to finish.

Vick impressive crumbing goals!!

He isn't saying goolwa could beat just sfl sides. Basically the gsfl bottom sides have enough talent to beat other comps top sides on there day. I do agree with him to an extent but more agree to disagree. I havnt seen much gsfl so I can't comment.
White line fever do u think the sfl top sides over the years like MV grand final sides, reynella and brightons best side r a match with gsfl tops sides? I think the answer should be yes but just wondering ur opinion?

It's a diff comp.

SFL is harder contested footy where you win your own ball.

GSFL is faster, skilful footy with fit blokes lacing each other out.

Playing MV over the years was brutal - they could match anyone!
But I saw willunga up close last year and was the best display ive seen outside of SANFL/afl.

But yeah both top teams could all match each other - the SFL depth drops away though.

That's right Jonno. In fact I didnt mention the SFL. I think what was being pointed out was the GSFL has are far more even comp where "on their day" any side can beat another, whereas that is less likely in the SFL.

Another example this weekend with the winless bottom side Strathalbyn beating McLaren who were at 6 wins 2 losses

Superb win by Flaggies on the weekend! Wins over sides like Porties are what we need.

Good job lads.

Yep clearance lodged but I believe there are some stumbling blocks to get through before we can get these lads on the park - highly unlikely they will be pulling on the big V Friday night - pity but premierships not won in June are they and will be good to see where we stack up against the premiers with out them

I noticed that Nathan's clearance is now approved, what would be a stumbling block from there? Fitness, injury?
Damian's clearance is pending, didn't see that one happening until next year. Good get Valleys if you can get the 4 boys together and all zero pointers. I dips me lid to ya.

This year is looking like 2003 all over again. BDOS coming off a 1 game loss premiership season, a bit wobbly at times. A strong Noarlunga around the mark. And now Valleys quietly getting a team together for another crack at the premiership.
will history repeat?
