Does anyone here want to tip an upset come finals time? Echunga out in straight sets? Kersbrook to miss GF? Birdwood to play Nairne?

Also is it true that Kangarilla are stacking their B'Grade??

I believe Echunga will need a loss to someone if they are to win back to back (as a wake up call - although I think the close one out at Kersbrook shook them up a little). When they play their best football I honestly do not see anyone coming within 5 goals of them.

But This weekends game against Birdwood will be a good test to see where Birdwood are/will be (have they got some back now after their injuries at the start of the year?)

Meadows proved last year they can cause some upsets come finals time, and you dont want to be playing your best football this time of year, and fall short come September.

Hahaha Teams have stacked their B grade's for years if they do not look like they are going to make the A grade finals. Good luck to Kangy if that is what they are chasing!!!!

Birdwood will need to do some serious praying this week if they're going to beat Echunga. The Demons won't lose another game.

R.White, perhaps you should've told that to these guys!

Congratulations to Birdwood, definitely the best team on the day, just like any other game of football.

This quote makes no sense in reply to winning GF's in September.

Euchunga must pay there locals because they are throwing big amouts of money to there import's.

Been the biggest spenders in Country Div since Gary left. They wouldn't want to come 2nd in their push for Central Division with the money they've spent this year. Saturday surely was just a hiccup?

This is the stupidest post i have ever read on a forum! Firstly you, I and anyone other that the players and clubs involved would have any idea on who gets paid and how much. Its comments like these that make people disregard any relevant info you post, a bit like the boy who cried wolf!
I suggest that you keep your right hand on the keyboard and off you knob because like i said before no one would have a clue how much any club is paying.
As far as i am aware the players are not allowed to discuss this with each other so how you would be privy to any clubs finances astounds me!
It is no secret that clubs pay players, but how much and who will never be confirmed so making a statement like you have is based on pure opinion and no facts what so ever.
I am all for expressing ones opinion but keep the stupid comments to yourself!

RAMS wrote:"country boy" there's always two sides to a story, and for everyone else some of your comments are simply not correct. The player in question from what I've seen is a good bloke and definately no mercenary but the fact is he signed a contract for 2012. Nairne has done nothing wrong so don't make them out to be the bad one. Why don't people today take responsibility for their actions, I just don't get it? Money has been paid for the games played, subs not paid and he still has a Guernsey from what I understand... If he really wants a clearance maybe sort this out in person with the Club. "Big Fella" yes three contracted players did leave the club prior to the season starting... Nothing sinister about it, two were young lads from Mildura who got home sick and shifted home after three months in the city, and the other changed his mind four days after signing a contract and well and truly before preseason officially started. Fielk's is doing a fantastic job with the playing group and we all look forward to further improvements throughout the Season.

who is the player in question?

'Player are not allowed to discuss this with each other'??? You seriously don't think the players talk to each other about this. You being so defensive about the topic makes me think the players will discuss it more. It's no secret Central Division Clubs have tried to raid Dee land but can't due to the players being well looked after. The Deez have the strongest list in the comp and have spent well and that's nothing to shy away from. If they are going to have a crack at Central Division they will need to continue keep spending on the right kind of players.

Now let me get this straight. Call me pessimistic if you will, but did Birdwood seriously do this before Saturday’s match.

“Righto guys, big game today against the Demons. Now let’s pray

‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…………..
For the kingdom, the power and glory are yours. Now and for ever. Amen’

Now lets kill those Demons!”

Again I’d be very surprised if true but a lot of people have said that it is. Can anyone confirm?
