Sure there are upsets during the minor round, but come the latter stages of the season and the finals it’s all fairly predictable IMO.

How is that predictable, Sturt weren't picked to finish in the top 5 at the start of the year, but now you pick them.If you want it to be predictable you should have said glenelg or south.

After game 3 in 2006 - Eagles were 1 win and 2 losses and made and won the GF
After game 3 in 2007 - Eagles are in the same spot in wins and losses.
So anything is posible.

A couple nasty responses on this thread. But then what does one expect for a "SANFL is so boring (and my team is bottom) whinge, whinge" thread?
Results from this round are not to pleasing for me, but at least they go some way to stuffing up the negative theory put forward here. As for me, I'll be happy once this Centrals, Eagles era is done with, but I won't be condemning the competition as a whole purely because my team (and others') haven't been able to put a stop to another's deserved place in the sun.
Well done to the 'Dogs and Eag's for raising the bar, and long live the SANFL!
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Your team just beat the team who were top after 3 rounds and still gutsaching? Shut up and piss off.

 Wow, totally uncalled for.
No, your thread was uncalled for in the first place - I was just offering advice to help you get over your problem.

I attend the SANFL every week, so I'm entitled to a whinge every now and then I think.

How many else sat out in the pouring rain all day long?

Wow some people are touchy. I love the SANFL, but I'm allowed to say something negative from time to time.

I am so sick and tired of how predictable this competition is. :(

In the League's history, two clubs have won around the sum of half of all League premierships, while three other clubs have picked up almost half the wooden spoons between them (one only existing since the 1920's.)

In the ten-team era, it was generally a given that most (or all) of West, Torrens, Woodville, South and Centrals would be missing come finals time.

Acknowledging sentiments already expressed in this thread, it's crystal clear the SANFL competition has been predictable for decades. Not much has changed in recent years, only that a few clubs have traded places.

Do I? actually i think i have tipped them to be top 3 for atleast 3 of the last 4 years.
Another tip, Centrals to now hold top spot til 2008
