Yep clearance lodged but I believe there are some stumbling blocks to get through before we can get these lads on the park - highly unlikely they will be pulling on the big V Friday night - pity but premierships not won in June are they and will be good to see where we stack up against the premiers with out them

I noticed that Nathan's clearance is now approved, what would be a stumbling block from there? Fitness, injury?
Damian's clearance is pending, didn't see that one happening until next year. Good get Valleys if you can get the 4 boys together and all zero pointers. I dips me lid to ya.

Damians got approved today also... All 4 playin this Fri Night??? Mite have to come up the hill and watch the game.

Only 4 surly they can get 5 ? Is there a 5th brother out there or even a cousin or something?? Could make the best players quite easy . :-B

Their chf has played association for SFL.
Their captain coach is a SFL premiership player.
I could name another 10 guys who could easily play Agrade in any SFL side.

My again the point is not a one-off game - we are saying that they have enough talent that if 'on' could possibly beat any side.

Whereas other teams will get beaten regardless of variables.

Saw Cove on weekend - 7 goal to zero opening quarter was impressive.
Rams actually got on top of play 2nd & 3rd quarter but then Cove woke up and kicked 5 unanswered goals to finish.

Vick impressive crumbing goals!!

I'm pretty sure they aren't Goolwa posters talking their team up it's just a broad example. Tryin to explain why your league is not very well respected and giving you some pointers so we don't keep seeing 80 point drubbings on the long weekend

Agree with a lot a things that have been said but think its pretty unfair to not be respected. Close to four very poor sides in the competition but at least 10 to 11 sides r competitive which is still more teams than most have in there competitions alone. I didnt realise but the the top teams all play each other twice? So really you have 4 bad games a year out of a possible 18. I don't know if I agree with these bottom teams affecting association. Most of those players wouldn't have made it would they? Also we don't know how many quality players were missing from the sfl side. I know a few from Brighton were missing and those players alone would change any sides strength. I don't know who was missing from other sides. I've only really got back to consistently watching sfl footy again this year. I think the bad is very bad but the good is very good.

I agree with your tips, except I think that the current conditions will actually favour Valleys on Friday night. I don't subscribe to the fact that rain kills pacy teams, it does however make it harder to get the ball to a focal point like Rigney. Valley has plenty of avenues to goal. Should be a close one, but I think Valley have the cattle and Brighton are yet to hit their best form this season.

MatteeG sez:

Brighton V Valley- Valleys by 5 goals, travelling a little better at the moment. I assume Valleys will wear the 'clash' guernsey?
MVille Pk V M Vale- This could be an upset, I'll tip the Roos by a goal with Trev BOG.
E Town V Flaggies- Falcons by 15 points- really important the boys get the win here.
Lions V Marion- Rams by 9 points- Lions worked pretty hard on the track tonight when other clubs had long packed it away. The win last week would have improved the mood at Sherriffs Road, but the Rams should just edge them out. Hows the oval Lion Heart? Wear the screw ins!
Reynella V Hackham- Flies by 9 goals. Lets not get carried away with Hackhams improvement just yet.
Pt Noar V Christies- Pt Noar by 20pts. Cockles should win by more but the Saints usually push them.
Aldinga V Noar- Shoes by 100 pts. Golding historically kicks a large bag against the Sharks, so look for a double figure haul from him.

Going out on a limb there to have Cranston best on ground!

Townies have to be given a lot of credit, much as I don't like their game style, they are holding teams to low scores. If they could add some attacking flair, then they would be very dangerous. Agree about the marghin to Flaggies.

I've tipped Valley to get up tonight, but don't think given the ovals condition that it will be a big margin. Will be lucky if the ball doesn't disappear in the centre square, although the whole ground has held up OK so far.

Let's face it afc9798 u have tipped valley cause your a valley supporter, or the only BDOS supporter that doesn't think they can win. Anyway I've heard the oval was so under water there were ducks on it last night so I hope the valley boys have webbed feet \:D/

Sorry to break your illusion Baz, but I'm a realist. One of those annoying people that use my head over my heart. Would love Bombers to get up tonight, but think Valley have us covered in a number of areas. That said, given the state of the ground, anything could happen. Will probably be a very dour game and be decided by a lucky goal to either side.

Tonights scoreline could resemble the C grade G.F. of a few years ago at the Valley, between these 2 clubs.
