Our list looks like:

2006: Mildura
2007: Mt Gambier
2008: Geelong
2009: Mildura
2010: Darwin
2011: Warrnambool

Heading to Noosa this year on AFL GF weekend.

Turbo, Darwin is a quality spot. Awesome weather, hot backpackers, all you need (7-8 pubs/clubs and a yiros bar) on one street (Mitchell St).

We stayed here. Amazing spot with a top quality bar and pools on the roof, and a sensational outdoor pub next door.

Shadows is a zoo.

I went to the place with intentions of lowering the tone of the place. It was impossible.

Fat scrags and fights all night.

Yeah I thought I had some bird lined up on one of my singles trips @ shadows. I was then stopped 1 hour later by her biker partner threatening to kill me if I didn't leave in 30 seconds. Finished my gulp of my fresh pale as he said it......passed it to him and said "enjoy" and walked out with my jaw clenched ready for the king hit. Never gone back. Lucky the g was next door.

You were there while the G was still open? Can I ask why?

I remember in 07 the G bar was packed with us, SMOSH and Hope Valley all in one room. Don't think there was a female in sight.

Yeah Pag I ask myself the same question 4 years later. I put it down to losing common sence after drinking 20 beers before hand. We then thought it'd be funny to capture an alpaca that looked like nick reiwoldt and put it in a mates room also. I put it down to scenario 1 again but that room was f***** trashed.

Footy trip Suggestions

Postby test » Tue Aug 21, 2012 5:46 pm

Went to Victor Harbor 2004 AFL grand final day. One footy trip and 3 netball trips. Good times. Wouldn't recommend if you didn't have those sort of odds though.

01 Melbourne
02 Mt Gambier
03 Pt Pirie
04 Perth
05 Cairns
06 Melbourne
07 Hobart

I haven't been on a footy trip the last few years but i rate cairns my favourite trip. We are heading there this year on sept 21st for 4 nights gonna be huge hence why i'm back on board again. Gilligans backpackers resort is the best place i have visited dj's and bars everywhere, followed closely by the cottleslo hotel in perth on the beachfront big sunday sessions! Hobart was a huge letdown stuck in the 80's and the town must have been hit hard with footytrips the week b4 we went as we weren't allowed in anywhere half decent.

could be huge, We are Portland SA and we have some very messy individuals coming on the trip so there is a good chance we could get the boot before you guys get there. i think there is 19 of us going with about 4 virgins and there is a couple that have just turned 18 so it could be a bit of an eye opener for them. we have not organised anything to do either but there is a fair chance we wont be doing anything constructive while we are there
